Ok so this is going to sound like me boasting at first, but bear with me. There is a question at the end.

Just now I was engaged in some very frenzied sexual activity. The radio was on in the background with mellow, soft tunes playing. We'd been engaged in this sexual mix of limbs for around 30 minutes when "Black Velvet" By Alayna Miles came on. As soon as the throbbing beat began my body responded making his body respond and to that beat, that treacly thick sexy rhythm we both came with shouts and cries and exp elation of fluids.

What Songs do you think are music to orgasm too? Not necessarily have sex to but to actually complete the act as it were.

Also have you ever used music in a story at the point of a characters climax? If so let us know what happens or post an excerpt for us to see!

:)

Being Nobody by Liberty X always gets me going, simply because every time I hear it, I remember the strip-tease that I had one of my characters do to the song. one of my better pieces of writing :D.

The Earl

Ahh Earl...thank you! You just reminded me.

I have used music in one piece of writing which was for a friends eyes only. *smiles*

I had my character (well me*L*) do a strip tease to the song "pour Some Sugar on me" By Def Leppard. Oh yes. That song is an orgasmic one alright!

A shameless bump really to say I am now off to bed but if anyone answers I will reply in the morning

Ok, don't bop me on the head for this. I had a very fine experience once with Beethoven's Eroica, his third symphony (my partner needed an extra movement though, hahaha).

If it could be arranged I'd love to arrive during the very long climax of the Act II "love duet" from Tristan und Isolde.

See, that USED to be my kareoke song and now I'm going to not be able to sing it 'cause my mind will be elsewhere.

And I like that pic better than the first Jeff one. Where did you get it?

"Black Velvet" By Alayna Miles

As soon as I saw the thread title, that song popped into my mind. That one, and Melissa Etheridge's "I'm The Only One"

Just about all of Stevie Ray Vaughan's songs just ooze sex to me, but a couple worth mentioning are Shake For Me, and Voodoo Chile.

Just thinking about his music makes me horny as hell. :D

Have you heard the CD where they put all his mellow stuff, "Blues at Sunrise?"

If you like Stevie Ray, you need to check out some Buddy Guy. "Sweet Tea" is one crankin' CD. Lyrics to one song, "Take off your clothes and throw 'em in the corner...."

or

"I got to have you, girl...."

Love the Beethoven - wonderful French horn parts (sorry to hear about your partner, though - :D )

I can't think of a song for me to orgasm to (though that is a good question so I will have to ponder it), but whenever I hear the song "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam I think of a time in college when that song was on while my boyfriend was coming/ "flowing".
:D

I like perdita's answer - it's so classy. :)

mmmmmm
cant go wrong with paula cole's feelin love
or
toni braxton...youre makin me high
or
gregorian chat for that special bdsm moment...*yum*
wagner too...anything with a dark, low tone.

Something by the Chemical Brothers, really can't tell you what it was though, it was coming from the apartment next door.

Hm. That doesn't sound right.

Wow lots of cool answers!

Thanks Perdita, I knew you'd add a touch of class!

Just Legal well now you can strip to it instead of just singing it!

Impressive great (and horny) minds think alike *grins*

Cloudy music that makes you horny just by thinking of it has got to be good!

The_fool -they sound like the perfect lyrics for some sexy stuff to go on to!

SweetSubSarahh *notes her preference for the french horn whilst orgasming*

Dirty JJ well that was a song to orgasm to then *grins*

Vella -yeah I think i jknow what you mean about the dark low tone. Its the tone that kind of vibrates in the pit of your stomach...

Charley -That really sounds like the beginning of a story. *L* and I am hoping you still mean it was music coming from next door and not say a rain of chemical brothers used underwear......

I don't know about climaxing, but getting there with a bottle of Merlot cuddled in front of a fire listening to Peggy Lee or the old Platters works for me. Hell, it gets so good sometimes that I don't want to orgasm, just let it go on forever.

Where is that Peggy Lee album? Damn, EL, I gotta go. Later.

Status Quo

I took my wife to a Status Quo concert in Margate last night.

I'm still deaf.

We were bopping all evening and really jumping for 'Rocking all over the World'.

I wouldn't normally have suggested Status Quo as music to orgasm to but with hundreds of people jumping together and all ages from 8 to 80 present it was an orgasmic event.

Like the last concert of theirs we went to a couple of years ago there was an area for wheelchairs. Wheelchair dancing for incontinent ancients is a sight to behold.

I think it must have been a concert that will become a thing of the past. Apart from most of the audience standing on the open floor, alcoholic drinks were served throughout (in plastic glasses) and smoking was allowed everywhere. The strobe lights shone through a thick haze. That's how I remember rock and roll - noise, excited partly clad women (on the floor not the stage), booze and cigarettes some of which smell odd.

Deafened Og

PS. Most of the partly clad women were as old as, if not older than, the original members of the Quo. It says a lot for their energy if not their dress sense. Me - I stayed covered up.

Third Leonora overture. No wait........it's just a collection of musical orgasms in itself......damn.

Teach..see you later love ;)

Ogg -well that sounds like truely an experince!

Colly -Another one with something for horns ;)

Somme....muscial orgasms sound good to me :)

Aaron Copeland's Fanfare for the Common man. Somethihng about the horns :)

Colly, I hope I'm not on 'ignore' from other threads, but....

I totally agree. Those horns make you, err, stand up and stand to! Sort of a "propagate the noble species" inspiration.

I would include "Jupiter..." from Holst's The Planets Suite in the same vein.

A more hard-charging option would be "Candy's Room", by Springsteen. A total musical orgasm.

For instrumentals, though, I've had a fantasy of making love to "San Lorenzo" by the Pat Metheny Group since the late 70's. Someday, it will be the right time... San Lorenzo ...and that's the midpoint of the song, not the orgasm part...

Yeah, more Ludwig to rock'n'roll by. And there's one piano sonata movement but I can't recall the number. Gotta go...

Perdita ;)

yet more horns eh? very nice!

Now I heard one in the gym that i thought was good for sex, maybe not exactly an orgasm song, but it would be good for working up to it ;)

"Place your hands" By reef.

My real one was Young Girl (Gary Puckett and the Union Gap) - but the dansette was set on 'repeat'...

In a story, I've used Ravel's Bolero - which is simply a 20 minute musical fuck: that braying brass at the end gets me off in my mind, if not in my pants - but haven't yet been able to write the last chapter, so it's not published.

"Tah, ta-ta-ta-tah, ta-ta-ta-tah, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-tah,
ta-ta-ta-tah, ta-ta-ta-tah, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-tah,
YES!   Tah, tah...
YES!   Tah, tah .... "

Coincidentally, that's the only piece of music I can 'play' in my mind and carry more than one part: the snare drum, the basses, AND the melody. Wish I could write it in adequate words!
