OOC: Christopher Matchelan
Married, well hung 29 year old American College Professer
By the way, this is closed for me and LadyTemptress
IC: Chris had not expected to be able to get any honor once he took the job as a professor at a community college in the midwest. Then he got the letter from the Munick Philharmonic Orchestra. They wanted him to come play his trumpet with them for two concerts. The director loved his last two compositions and wanted the orchestra to perform both of them.
He immediately wanted to accept but he remembered how his wife would react. That night he talked with her but was scared when she noticed the dates, something he had missed. They were a month apart. The college would never pay for two flights!
She was so excited, she actually came up with the perfect solution. He would send a letter and ask to work the whole month. They might even help him with housing for that amount of time. He sent the letter the next day.
The director responded quickly and was glad to have him there. Chris would have to take a lower part on most of the concerts between, instead of soloing like he would for his pieces. There was only one catch. They would be able to find housing for him, but not for his wife.
Chris discussed it with his wife immediately. She didn't like it but asked to reply herself. Chris trusted her enough to let her. About two weeks later, he got the director's reply. If the college would help with airfair, the deal was on. The last paragraph of the letter was puzzling to Chris since his wife had written the letter.
I will gladly see to your wife's person request.
Chris took it to her and shown her that part. She was happy about him getting accepted and explained she had asked the director to make sure he didn't get too involved with any of the local women.
Chris smiled and started on writting his request for the money. He got a response about two days later and was given all he needed for the flight. When the time came, a year later, he was all ready to leave. He said his emotional good byes to his wife and friends.
He was accepted by the orchestra without question. They had loved his music and were glad to be playing it. The rehearsels went great. They were great at playing his pieces. The first concert came up quickly.
The performance went well. AFterwards, the trumpets took him out for a night on the town. They got back late and had a great time. The next performance came up quickly. This time, Chris was on the third trumpet. It was an easy piece and Chris had fun.
After the concert, Chris decided it would be appropriate to go to the green room for a while. He walked arround talking to people when he noticed the killer beauty standing in a corner. As he got his second glass of wine, she caught up with him and he looked up into her blue eyes.
