After having a conversation lastnight with a girl-friend I wanted to ask what songs or song makes you think about doing the good old bump and grind??? Or what song are you currently listening to while having sex?
One song that has always been high on my list is a song from the 80's. The artist is Freur and the song is Doot Doot.

Lovely thread, surfmatt. It brings me back to some past tunes and gets me thinking about what makes my blood boil lately. Here are just a couple. ;)

Pearl Jam -- Black
This is among my top five quintessential high school makeout songs

Prince -- If I Was Your Girlfriend
How do I pick one Prince song? A big chunk of the Sign O' the Times album was my masturbatory soundtrack for a memorable summer as a teenager.

Bon Iver -- Skinny Love
There is a tenderness and heartachy angsty sexy hunger to this song that makes me either want to cry my eyes out, jump someone's--anyone's--bones, or probably both.

For some reason, I always loved to masturbate to My Sharona by The Knack. Wow, that was a long time ago. But I never included music when with someone.

just listened to a few others Matt. i can't say that i've "done anything" to these tunes, but i find them hella sexy:

The Black Keys -- I'll Be Your Man (I know, it is in the HUNG intro... also hawt, incidentally ;) )

Joan Osborne -- Match Burn Twice

Norah Jones -- I've Got to See You Again

"Looking for Love - Fleetwood Mac"

near the end of the song is maybe the best part ;)

oui oui!

Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg -- Je T'aime Moi Non Plus

Serge is so wonderfully sleazy... and French... and this is one of my favorites.

here's a link to the song on youtube:

*if you have a link to your song, share it -- if that is legal in the forum?? I'd love to hear some of these that I don't know

**and, Matt, i looked up Doot Doot on iTunes and... really?!? ;)

I think Paul Oakenfold's remix of New Born by Muse is one of the sexiest pieces of music I've ever heard ... but it's trance, with a fast beat, so I'm not sure about having sex TO it. Maybe something to try one day?....

I've said it before, I'll say it again...Portishead

"All Mine" from Portishead's self-titled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vozNQX6Ye1A

"Souvlaki Space Station" from Slowdive's "Souvlaki" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0LIO138Z-A

"Miss June '75" from Brian Jonestown Massacre's "Their Satanic Majestie's Second Request" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFoop72chM8&feature=related Its perfect up until he starts talking about oral sex, then its just too on the nose. But the perfect sluggish, druggy vibe.

That's so weird Tooter! I love Portishead, but that track, which I do love, sounds more like something to murder someone to! I think it's quite spooky and especially with that video as well.
I recently went through a lot of Portishead stuff looking for something to use for a new vid, however I just thought most of it is a bit dark for a general audience ... sadly. I wondered if it would be okay to PM you for advice on the few that I did come up with though?

For me, Slowdive are more a band I like to listen to on a bus or train watching the world go by outside ... one of my favourite bands, but for different reasons to yours..

Anyway, enough disagreeing with your music for sex!

I actually prefer a whole album to a few tracks ;)
Premiers Symptomes by Air is a good one.

Yeah Erin Doot Doot has something to it that just um...... yeah.... There song holds up and it has that haunting sound sort of like Black does. The fun is in what it makes you feel. We all are differnt as this thread shows. I like a lot of the choices people have made. Portishead is a good example. Dark and moody but really good.
Keep them coming people. I'm getting some good tunes and great thoughts. I'll not be able to hear some of these songs now without a grin...

I can hear exactly what you mean in each of those descriptions. "All Mine" does have that heightened, tense, Bernard Hermann-via-backbeat chilly vibe to it, but I think its that drama that I respond to. The flares of horns and those cathartic high notes...woof. And I second Slowdive as a window-gaze band (could that be a new term spun off from shoegaze? You heard it here, first!) - maybe more of post-sex cuddle music?

Good call on Air, for sure. And please do PM me - early and often, as they say.
=tt

Bedtime Stories by Madonna and Urban Hang suite by Maxwell are both excellent cds to get busy too. Also, check out Drive by Melissa Ferrick, very sensuous!

Twisted.... The Enigma's MCMXC a. D album is a trippy one for sure. The beats really keep you moving right along. The band Zero 7 also has some great tracks. The more I think about it and talk to people about it, the more I see the connection with music and sex...
