As My Grandpa saw the german sherperd Pull April the Poodle Under the fence he was helpless to do anything.

So are poor Poodle was murdered ...

The worse part of it all Ohio does not have any laws about dogs.I find this very sad so My aunt and her son has gone to visit a lawyer, I ask You Imagine if this was a child!

We will miss you April the little Poodle

THE WIFE

Oh my ...that is awful!!

But...I do believe that Ohio does have strict laws against owning Vicious dogs of any breed. I know there was a wolf breed here who killed the owners grandson while visiting....I think the owner had charges pressed against her, but a child was killed not another dog. I'll try to find out more & let you know.

I'm not at all sure about your laws, but this happened a couple of years back here.

Our cat was a stray and we had found her and she had accepted us as her family, many moons ago, she was 21 and she had turned into very much an old lady, but she never did anything inside the house, she always waited to be placed outside and "do her thing" in the great outdoors.

One day I said to her "time to go and do your business, then you can come in and sleep for the rest of the day". I placed her outside and came back in with my son who at the time was 16 months old, and we had finished playing outside.

The phone rang, so I answered and was talking to my sister when there was one almighty bang at the door, I asked to her to hold as I thought a bird had flown into the window. I opened the door to the most awful sight and sounds, My neighbour was screaming and trying to hobble on his walking stick to get across the road, my sisters cat was lay convulsing in the front garden and a Bloody huge Bull Mastiff was running out of the garden.

I did the only thing I could do and screamed, not knowing where to turn or what to do next, well the next few minutes went in a blur. I ran to our very loved cat who was still alive but in very much pain, and did the most stupid thing and picked her up (I now know it was stupid but at the time, I didn't know what else to do).

I brought her to the front door step and placed her down, now my sister was on the phone the whole time, hearing all this and not knowing what was going on. Puss was her cat, and extremely loved and treated like a queen by her. I picked up the phone, screamed down it that she had been mauled by a dog and hung up to call the vets. They said bring her round, as it was only on the next main road (2 minute drive).

My neighbour that I had never met took me round to the vet, while my other neighbours who have know me since the age of four had my son. Puss died in my arms looking me in the eye, about 20 houses away from the Vets. She was now in peace.

We got hold of the council, and they ordered the people that owned the dog (which had been roaming the streets for 2 weeks by this stage), to keep the dog chained up and if he was to get out again the would remove him from the property. They paid the (get this) $20:00 vet bill and got away with it.

My son had been playing out in that same spot no less than 10 mins before. I can tell you now if that dog had have attacked him, it would have been taken and destroyed. My view is that the dog had tasted blood, and it would go out and now seek more.

Does it matter in your eyes what they have attacked? Cat, Dog, child or even adult for that matter, once they have tasted blood they want more.

I am so sorry for your loss, and if your family is like mine, once you have a pet they become one of the Family. I know that as you wrote that post out, you were probably crying your eyes out, and my heart goes out to you.

I would say stick with the Lawyers and see how far you can go. Good Luck and if you can keep us informed.

Thats the way I feel about these two dogs if One of the YOunger kids were out playing, What would happen to these dogs they would be put to sleep,

Fuck poodles are shit dogs anyway and haven't you done what my name says yet nsw? I see not bcuz here's another whiny post by your sorry ass. I really hate whiners.

So far I've counted four different Suddups but this is first one that couldn't spell.

Scary...and yet some what funny in my sick sorta sudistic humor...and yet not....just that there is no law is sad, but that it fought so hard to do that...is sorta funny, they are just dumb dogs, if you see em, give em a good kick for me.

Was this incident reported to your local Humane Society, or Animal Care and Control? Surely they would take some action.

My dog, a 20-pound mutt, got loose and bit a girl walking by our house. She was not hurt, he didn't even break skin, but she told her parents and they called Animal Care and Control. My dog was put on house arrest for two months, as in he was not to leave the property. (hyper dog + two months without walks = not fun!!) He has a record now, and I believe he gets three chances. On the third, he would be taken away from us and possibly put down.

That kind of aggression in an animal is obviously dangerous. Hopefully they wouldn't wait until a child is attacked to do something about it.

Here in NY many counties have a leash law, even in the countryside. My dog(s) have always been kept on a long chain (up to 200 ft. long, depending on the size of the dog) so they can still run and get exercise when I am unable to walk them. I had a Doberman Pinscher, who through unfortunate circumstances had to be put down, by my choice. He had been "playing" with the cat, my son came out of the bedroom and the dog bit his face. He required 72 stitches in his head. Of course the hospital notified the State police and animal control officer of a possible "savage" dog, my own dog. I had to keep this dog chained up on a short run for two weeks to make sure there was no signs of rabies before I could have him put to sleep. I CHOSE to have the dog put to sleep rather than take the chance of him biting another person. I am still saddened that I had to do this, but I chose my child over this dog for obvious reasons.

(((Hugs)))

To everyone who has had to go through this and especially NSW.

We lost an old and treasured family cat to two maurading dogs, right under my 18mth old daughters window. The dogs had been hunting cats in the area, last I heard they had killed 18 pets.

There is now a fence fotted in the soil and 7ft high completely enclosing the back yard and the kids two kittens.

Thank You all

I just wanted to say Thankyou:D
