First question, whats a munchie? Secoundly, ive never been to an event although im plannig to fix that soon. Just wondering what i should expect a event to be like?

I think it's a 'munch', rather than a 'munchie', and it's an informal gathering of kinky people to meet and get to know each other. Fetlife will have a list of munches in your local area, but this isn't my area of expertise. I'm sure that others who go to these will come along shortly and give you some more information
