Liberal viewers of the progressive cable news network MSNBC raged on social media after host Chuck Todd said that President Joe Biden's successful nomination to the Supreme Court was to be his last victory.

Todd characterized the Supreme Court victory as possibly the last one for the White House, apparently referring to the impending loss of congressional seats for Democrats in the midterm elections amidst collapsing support in the polls.

Viewers of the channel were outraged that Todd refused to ignore the sorry state of the future of the Democratic party.

This is not the first time Todd has outraged MSNBC viewers over his honest criticism of Democrats. In November, he said that massive spending would be bad for Democrats, and in March, he said Biden didn't have much of a loyal fanbase. In both cases, viewers demanded he be fired for his insolence.

It's absurd to predict the next six years based on the results of a midterm election that hasn't even happened yet. Besides, if anything, a landslide loss for the president's party in a midterm tends to be followed by the president winning re-election.

So far, after a year into his first term, Brandon hasn't been able to make any headway on his agenda items other than succeeding in getting KBJ on the SCOTUS to replace a retiring progressive and not changing the makeup of the court at all. And that's despite having control of both chambers of Congress.

You think it's going to be any easier for him going forward even if the D's keep control of the legislature after November?

The next question is whether Brandon keeps his job after January 2023 if the House flips and the Senate gets a 70% majority. If so, your "next six years" dream is over before it begins.

The chances of the Right getting enough votes to impeach Biden is so low I'm more concerned about a plane dropping poop meteors on Biden. That move, even if successful would be real rough on Republicans moving forward and would end up being one of those things that changed laws moving forward specifically to prevent THAT happening ever again.

I guess Chuck Todd hasn’t been on the Literotica Politics board lately. If he had been keeping up with the posts here he would know that Brandon’s Build Back Better bill is going to pass the House and Senate any day now. 😂

It should have sailed through but Republicans are straight up monsters at this point. I mean for real, how is capping prices on insulin something that doesn't just go straight through.. Its not expensive to make or anything. While I don't think individuals have any business asking their doctors for specific medicines that's a battle for some other time. However Gaetz carefully phrased get in shape and don't be poor.

You mean it’s not sailing through? Gee. That’s a big surprise! I guess that mean old Joe Manchin and crabby Kyrsten Sinema are monsters too.

You'd be completely correct about those two. If I were Biden I would make it clear I don't want those two in office. Hell I don't think there is a law against asking them to resign, he just can't force them to do anything.

If MSNBC viewers are upset about Chuck Todd, they’re lucky they are not watching CBS News. That poll they released puts Brandon at the lowest point in his presidency. That state of the union address his supporters were hoping would lift his ratings didn’t stop the slide.

In terms of gaining political capital? Recent history suggests it probably will be (see 1996 and 2012).

Even you don't really believe the Senate will get a 70% majority for either party. There hasn't been any such thing since the 1930s, and I'm not even sure if it's mathematically possible this year.

I actually have no faith that the useless assholes in Congress will do anything as long as Mumbles McConnell is in charge of the Senate.
