Hey all,

I'm using MS Office 2007 and I get a warning stating

This error usually occurs because of macro security settings. If you know that the macro comes from a source that you trust, you can change your macro security settings to allow you to enable the macro. The way that you change your macro security settings depends on the Microsoft Office System program that you are using."

It goes on from there explaining how to make changes in the macro security settings. The warning pops up 4 times before it completely goes away.

The deal is I get this warning when I open Word... even if i'm not opening a Word Doc.

It's driving me nuts... any suggestions?

You may have a macro virus on your system trying to change your settings. Tried going over your Word docs & files with a couple of good antivirus scanners?

Got it running

Thanks,

Got a through virus scan running. I'll keep you updated.

I have MathType, EndNote and Adobe Pro on my computer. They embed directly into Office as add-in macros. If the versions you are using are not specifically made for 2007 you will have to manually override the default (not to enable the addin) in order to get the error messages to stop. This means you actually have to copy a file to a specific directory. You can get the information about the specifics of this in the support forums of all the programs that are giving you issues.

My virus scan came up negative. I'm thinking it's the older version of Adobe Pro I use...... I'm off to see what I can do.

Thanks.
