Step in and take a look. I am no Ansel Adams, but I love to shoot.

The following were all taken with a Nikon Coolpix L6 digital Camera. Today's Selections were all shot in black and white mode. No photoshopping here, these are all straight out of the camera.

Nice work.

I adore black & white but if yo have ever hung out in AA's B&W thread you know that already.

They're a little -- utilitarian. You took pictures of things, and you took them well. But the pics don't really have any voice (except, perhaps, the dude on the roof pic). What's the point of the pics, except to show us how nicely your camera works? What is it that you want to say?

minor suggestion, if you have photoshop, i suggest you take the photos in color then adjust them later using "channel mixer" set to "monochrome" then adjust accordingly. It will give you more control over the final image and you will also have a nice color original, just in case you find something that pops in the color one.

I don't have photoshop....

I usually take a colour one right as I am taking the B&W for that reason...

thanks for the suggestions.

I especially like the Happy Cow pic....

...been thinking about an electric fence that keep the cows in today...

....do you suppose the fence is electrified...hmmmm...if I leaned over to touch those cows hmmmm ...wouldn't my breast just graze the top of the fence....hmmmm....happy cows... zapped breasts .....

I like them but i do agree with Evil Kirk. I also think the use of space involed feels off, like you are almost in the wrong spot/angle. I'm not a professional so i could be off with my oppinions. But! I love the cows one. Thats my favorite of the bunch!

Do a Google search for "Photo Editor".
There are several good free ones.
Download and see how you like them.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements.
It's a lot cheaper than Photoshop.
