Ok, long story short: A while back I made a second account, and posted a short story I had written. I did this so that one person could read it, but not my other work. Well, I'd like to take it down and delete the second profile, and put the story with the rest of my writings. I couldn't find a "delete account" option anywhere, and I didn't want to repost the same story under my account and look like I was ripping someone off. Any clean way to do this?

You might ask Laural but the 99.9999999% correct answer would most likely be NO.

Go back to the alt account and resubmit the story title with the word "delete" at the end of the title. Write a concise message in the notes window. Leave the story window blank.

When that story is gone, resubmit under your regular name.

I agree - just delete it and then resubmit it under your other name. I've got a story floating around under another name that I may well shift at some point - and that's how I'd do it.

If you're worried that someone may think you're ripping off someone else's story, just put a brief note at the beginning of the resubmitted story to say, "Yes, you may have read this before but I wrote it, I swear!" or words to that effect.

Thanks Jenny. I sent Laurel an email to see if it's possible.

An e-mail probably won't work. Apparently the site administrators are too stretched thin to check e-mails. Send a PM via this forum. By going up to the contest announcement threads, you can find Laurel's name and click on that to initiate a PM.
