Have you seen a movie that you felt the need to warn people not to see?

Have you wanted to post how wonderful a movie is??

This is the thread for you! Post movies you've seen and your opinion of them. It doesn't matter if they are old, new or not so well known. Just post what movie/s you saw/went to see and your opinion.

I just rented The Boogeyman, Dark Heaven and Ghost Watcher

Boogeyman was alright but as always...they made the ads look better then the movie itsself. The graphics were pretty good.
I give it 6 stars.

Dark Heaven was an odd movie. I wouldn't recommend seeing it unless you like all that end-of-the-world crap
I give it 3 stars

Ghost Watcher was what I call 'home movie' look. Very obvious this was a low budget film but...it was a decent plot.
I give it 4 stars (for effort)

has anyone else seen the above movies i mentioned or is this thread doomed to die?

Revenge of the Sith, the most overrated and probably the worst Star Wars theatrical movie ever made.

wow i should join this one

i watch alot of movies and have my fav's

best movie latlye was

be cool
everyone hated it i liked it

will post more soon just can't think right now

lots of sex stuff

mike

ummm...just do me a fav....put the movie in caps or something 'cause i couldn't tell what you were talking about :)

Just got back from War of the Worlds. It's pretty good. Not much sex in it though. ;)

"The Ladykillers" ~ Don't waste your time. While I'm sure some will disagree with me, all the best parts were in the movie trailer. The movie as a whole was slow, uninteresting, and we couldn't even finish watching the last half hour or so.

"Frequency" ~ In my opinion, one of the better sci-fi movies involving a form of time travel.

"Young Einstein" ~ Comedy. You either love it or hate it. I loved it so much it was worth waiting for it to come out on DVD so I could buy it.

"Heavy Metal" ~ Animation. A classic, especially if you like animated big boobs. Heavy Metal 2000 is not quite as good, but still (in my opinion) worth having.

I'm also a major fan of CG movies (Shrek, A Bug's Life, Antz, The Incredibles, etc). So far my favorite is Finding Nemo, and the one I like the least is Shark Tale.

Aside from War of the Worlds, here are some other movies I've seen recently:

Lost Skeleton of Cadavra - A spoof of 1950s/1960s horror movies. It's only mildly amusing but it might be fun with a group of drunk friends.

Silver City - A John Sayles film about a political candidate with a lot of similarities to our president. A bit long, but with a lot of good dialogue and a lot of good performances.

Alien vs. Predator - Crap.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - Started good, but turned to crap.

I watch a lot of movies. That's just the last few days' worth.

I think the last 45 minutes of the movie made up for the first 2. it definetly did mor for the backstory than anything else.

The original trilogy is still the best

I agree, the first three top the prequels, even though I'm not really in a position to make such a statement. I only watched Ep I. While the FX are cool and all, the story has only one inevitable conclusion.

I really wonder what they were thinking by making Star Wars first and following it with stuff that happened earlier. I know the technology we have now made it easier to make them, but I don't think that's a viable excuse.

I don't recall the reason that lucas wrote 4-5-6 first. But i do know that he was never satisfied with the trilogy due to the technological restraints, which was the reason he did the Special Edition.

And of course there are 7-8-9 which supposedly will never be made...cause if you recall...The Force has a balancing act...there is always to be balance...and there are always to be a Master and an Apprentice...as of right now there is just the Jedi Master...

As for other movies:

Constantine came out on DVD today...if you didn't see it...I'd say rent it...its interesting...its different and the director seemed to know how to work with Keanu

Fantastic Four...doesn't live up to the hype but its not a bad movie so to say

Batman Begins...awesome movie...seen it twice would see it again...follows faithfully to who Batman really is...I even have a friend, whom read all the comic books as a kid, was told the movie sucked...to quote him after I dragged him to see it "I have a few minor complaints but overall that was a very well done movie"

i didn't like Constantine much because it was like watching the Matrix all over again

A couple of weeks ago I saw the movie Crash. What an emotional roller coaster. Lots of conversation and intense moments. I start to care for these characters, even the very troubled ones. During this movie I felt sympathy and was afraid for them. I felt their joy, their sadness and understanding of the choices. It is several story plots taking place and they all intertwine in one way or another. It shows how the choices of ones life can effect others in either a good or a bad way. That we are all connected in some way.

A well written and well acted movie. And the music is good also.

I have a couple of movies saved on my tivo that I've watched quite a bit lately....

I've never really been much of a fan of English movies or hugh grant but I love the movie love, actually. it's a romantic comedy with 5 or 6 intertwining stories in it.... the bits with the old rock star crack me up every time. lots of sweet and/or funny moments, with a little bit of sadness, too... and a couple of grand romantic gestures that remind me of the kind of thing I'd do if I had the balls and I was more creative.

the other one is eurotrip. pretty standard teen comedy, I guess, but I've always liked that sort of movie even tho I'm far from a teen, now. lots of funny stuff, including a very unexpected cameo by matt damon.

I went and saw the movie The Great Raid this afternoon. It is about the rescue of the POW’s from Bruno Rubeo. The movie shows heroism and the sense of duty to “leave no man behind.” Being unfamiliar with World War II the beginning has a voice over that gives a brief history lesson as to how these men came to be POW’s. I found this to be very helpful. The movie also opens with actual footage of the POW’s being captured and closes with more footage after the mission.

This was an emotional movie to watch. Intense. Not as graphic as Saving Private Ryan, but it does show how brutal war is. The performances showed that both Benjamin Bratt and James Franco are capable of great acting.

I would recommend this movie to any history buff or anyone that likes war movies.

Good Thread. I tried to do this about 2 months ago and got a few hits on it but it died rather fast. Hope you have a better response and it looks like you are.

I think it is great to get other peoples views on the movies.

Good Luck!
