Because Tuesdays are so last Tuesday.

Bill proposed. Thoughts?

The only thing I'd like to see change is I'd like some snacks at the polling place. Maybe some coffee. Some of those Pepperidge Farm Milanos would be nice.

Makes a lotta sense. But, Saturday is Sabbath for Jews (and Adventists, etc.), Sunday for (most) Christians -- is there any religion that considers voting work not to be done on the Sabbath? If so, we'd need a two-day election to accommodate everybody.

With the Democrats War on Religion and the First Amendment, I doubt that would be much of a concern anymore.

A weekend vote would be all weekend not just one day. Everyone would be able to vote without violating the Sabbath.

Oh, yes, I forgot. Well, then, let's make e-day Sunday so all the liberal Jews can vote and true pious God-fearing Christians can't. :)

Voting is always on a Sunday here. Never heard about any Christian who had a problem with that.

I don't think most Christians would consider voting to be work but I think most Jews would. Some Christians might like Seventh Day Adventists.

I have thought, many times, election days should be held on Saturdays, starting midnight Friday until exactly 24 hrs later on Saturday midnight. On week days, many voters have to rush and vote to get back to work. Having elections on a Saturday could also rid many people of being influenced by their co-workers, employers, or pier pressure.

I hate pier pressure.
