Of all the *average* places to pierce on the body, which do you think hurts the worst?

~ear lobe
~upper ear cartiledge
~eyebrow
~nose, side of nostril

Reason for asking, I am going to get both nipples done tomorrow and am quite nervous about the pain. I was kinda hoping for some opinions on what to expect.

I have my bellybutton and nose (nostril) pierced. I think the bellybutton hurt worse, simply because it was my first and there was the fear factor. I associated the nose piercing pain w/ that of the pain from stepping on a tack.

I am indeed addicted tho...

I have a friend who had her.. lol.. uh, down there pierced. She said it took over 24 hours for the adrenaline rush to go away..

My bellybutton was NOT my first - my tongue was. My tongue didn't hurt at all and the bellybutton hurt like hell.

I didn't even feel my upper ear cartilage, and my regular ear piercings burned like hell.

Nostril didn't hurt, aside from making me want to sneeze when it first went in... more of a sharp itchy pain which was gone in 3 seconds.


Eyebrow felt like a pinch, although I heard it gouge out the skin when the needle went through which was pretty sickening.

I have heard nipples hurt the most. Don't know where from, just one of those thing you hear when you are out and about.

I pierced my foreskin on my penis with a saftey pin once on purpose. That didn't hurt much and there was very little blood. It healed up without a problem. I guess I did it to know what it felt like.

Actually, my friend has a Prince Albert and just got his sack pierced recently. He said the PA made him cry, but all he felt in the sack piercing was a pinch and it wasn't at all painful.

pierced her clit. sounds painful to me and i'm a guy. now if a guy actually pierced his testical, not the scrotum, that would go down as most painful or second to piercing the clit (the little pink nub that's fun to play with).

I got my nose pierced when I was 16 and took it out when I was 18.

The rest of them came out two Octobers ago when I got arrested. I have since repierced my navel and my tongue. I'm not going to redo the eyebrow though.

I think the chin pierce on a guy is sexy as hell, and on some women. I've seen your pics, I think it would look awesome on you.

I am addicted to piercings and tattoos, very much so. I don't think I'll get anymore facial piercings, but I want one more hole in my ear, and I think Ill be getting a vertical hood piercing next year. (Gonna wait and do that in florida so BK can be there when I do it, otherwise I don't think I could drop my pants lol)

I may redo my tongue though, take this one out and let it close and get fang piercings instead, but I'm not sure yet.

None of it hurts

Go in there expecting some intensity, wanting the feeling of the new piercing, needing the rush... and it doesn't hurt.

I've had my genitals and my nipples pierced repeatedly, for pleasure (new pics in about a week, btw). I have an ear cartilege pierce and regular lobe piercings. None of them hurt.

My intention was very small, very thin gold hoops.

My bellybutton hurt cuz I was so freaked.. but the pain was gone like after a minute. My nose stung for like a nano~second and brought a single tear to my eye. I just don't know what to expect w/ da nips. I'm already getting an anticipatory rush from it... eek.

MS's piercing technique

From a post in a different forum:

Try to use as large a gauge needle as possible. If you use a piercing needle, push the needle through the skin first. Leave it there and put a "large" safety pin down the hollow shaft. Hold the safety pin in place and remove the piercing needle. A piercing needle is so sharp it won't leave a scar, and the safety pin should be big enough to play without injury.

Anything smaller than 14 gauge may tear. I even know of instances where 14ga have been torn out from rough play.

(my note: uh huh. that "torn out during rough play" thing happened to us. well. to me. He did it. Ouchies.)

Anyway, he's *good* at this, has had LOTS of practice, and his technique works well for play and permenent pierces.

Hi Brat .. I got my bellybutton done first. The throbbing pain went away that same day (would probably have helped to take ibuprofen or something). But the tenderness, (especially from having my clothes up against it) didn't go away for about 6 weeks. (Gotta clean it every day w/ an antibacterial soap.. and #1 rule, don't touch it or it will easily get infected..)

Okay, babes, you're scaring the girls and boys. C'mon now - it did not hurt that much, did it? I've had multiple, many, pierces, over and over, through my nipples, my areolas, and the tissue behind my nipples/areolas, too - and it never hurt enough to scream "HOLY HELL it freakin HURT!" You gotta admit some arousal with your screams, darlin'... keeps the listeners satisified that you're not a freak (and the rest of us who like needles, by extension).

Screw it. Post 'em. Put a disclaimer on your thread tellig people what you'll be posting and warning them it's graphic. That will let those who do NOT want to see piercings go away before it hits them over the head. Not "show worthy" boobies? Then take close ups of just your nipples. Or hold your boobs in a sexy way, like your offering them to the viewer, (ohhh... and we're big on long black gloves for those kinda pics... you can get them from eBay for cheap) and post THAT pic.

You can change the jewelry when it's healed. Healing time depends on your own body healing rates and how well you follow your aftercare instructions. Keep your dirty hands AWAY from the new piercings. (Did you know that our hands are the very dirtiest place on our bodies, dirtier than our anuses, dirtier than our mouths? It's true.) Wash them every day (i do it twice a day with really new piercings) with regular antibacterial soap and move the jewelry around while you're washing them. Other than that, leave them alone while they heal.

I've never had a single infection with any piercing. Creidhne has done all of mine. He's careful, knows what he's doing, and observes sanitary measures. I take care of them, after.

Nipples should take a few weeks, tops. (My clit hood was healed in about a week, i think, the labia just a little bit longer. Honest.) Go see your doc if the piercings get infected and begin to emit quantities of oozing, smelly wet stuff.

Keep your hands (and your friends' hands) off them until they've healed. <--- biggest, baddest hard and fast rule for avoiding infections.
