What was your favorite Valentines Day present, either given or received?

Bet there are some good ones out there.

Flowers I had sent internationally last year to Draco, with the help of my honorary litle brother. It's cool having connections at times. I did get a little lecture over that one, but too damn bad.

:)

A (what he thought was) female Bearded Dragon.

It turned out that it was a male and he and the one I already fought- they had to be separated.

I thought it was a sweet present though. Maybe it isn't the romantic thing to others, but to me it was thoughtful.

I guess my favorite was the year Valentines day was on a friday. 6 months earlier, I made reservations for a beach side cottage, reservations for dinner, and called and got the day off for my wife. I packed her clothes, make up, presents, champagne etc. and made a card with questions that when answered said "you have the day off". I wouldn't tell her where we were going. When we got to the seaside, we pulled into a shopping area, and while she was busy shopping, I went to the cottage and put out the bouquet of roses, champagne, and the the decorations. Then went back to town and got her and "drove around". I told her I really had to go to the bathroom and pulled into the cottages, came out and said the guy told us to use the one in this cottage as theirs was broken. The look on her face when I opened the door was incredible! Best one I've pulled off yet.

If you were a woman I'd ask you to marry me, but in lieu of that, let me just say excellent work

LAST year!! I secretly sent flowers to ALL my friends and co-workers... don't ask about the bill (it didn't matter). I had them signed from your secret admirer.

THEN... I got a vase of flowers that were completely shocking because I thought the florists made a mistake and sent me some as well. Come to find out.. it was one of my friends.

Did you know they didn't know it was me for a whole week before I finally broke down and told them?!?! We had a wonderful time. I really enjoyed watching them call and ask EVERYONE including husband (which should have beat me to it!) if they had done it.

I don't know what my plans are for this year. I might have out did myself already.

Bravo! A romantic at heart.

It's interesting........about a year and a half ago, I met a woman from Ireland.........and her talk of the music there, and the traditional jigs and such..........I will be with her this year........and I will play for her............I will be apprehensive, not sure......but I know she will understand..............and though I will play for her...........I will remember the woman who made it possible........

My man was a musician on the road...

He had been touring for two weeks and it was pretty clear that Valentine's Day would be lonely, since I was in Nashville, and he was in Colorado, with a show the next night...

Of course, I got flowers and a card by delivery boy. But he wasn't there. :(

Around ten on Valentine's night, he called. Said he was in Denver, on his way to pick up a pizza at some little place near the hotel (the caller ID said it was his cell phone, so I didn't think to question) and that he missed me. He launched into this elaborate fantasy of what he would do to me if he were there in Tennessee...

Had me just melting with it, but at the same time, I was on the verge of tears because he was so far away...

Then I heard a car in the driveway and told him that I needed to get the door. I had no clue who it could be, of course...

And there he stood, cell phone in one hand and flowers in the other. :)

He had flown all the way from Denver and was planning on taking the red-eye back. We had three hours, that was it. And what a thrilling three hours it was. :)

Best Valentine's Day, ever. No question about it.

We didn't last, but every time I think of that wonderful man, I smile. :)

Last year was the most memorable. It was a total disaster. My "date," right here from literotica, stood me up and never did tell me why. Maybe I'll tell the story at a later time.

I have always hated Valentines Day, because it seems such a confection.

But I have had a few good ones. I came home with a single red rose. We had dinner at home without a lot of show, got comfy, talked, and made "sweet love."

But we did that a lot of other nights too, so it wasn't any big deal.

This coming one should be memorable. I can feel it in my bones.
Bleah- I'll probably be spending it alone again.

This is awesome and so is Touch1's...it fuels this hopeful romantic's heart to hear people go so beyond for the one's they love...beyond ideas and the norm to share such a moment with the one's they love.

I'm holding out for that great one ;)
