I see the most explosively active threads are both full of gutter quality content.

This is an alternative thread which will not be prolific. We will be leisurely, we will be pensive and that will be just grand.

I turned 21 yesterday. There were japanese dishes, flasks of hot sake, a chocolate cake and a tiramisu. Also a chocolate mouse (with chocolate mousse inside) Everything went better than expected.

Also its about 5 years since I first visited the story section of this site. I have read this section for a long time and I want to give respect to the bunch of people who make it wonderful to read. Keroin, BiBunny, Cutiemouse, EasternSun, SirWinston, Rida, captainswench, Kajira, Homburg and everyone whos name escapes me.

In other news, Netzach means clarity. I always associate it with 'Nietzsche'. How is everybody else doing?

A very happy-yet-belated birthday to you! :rose: I am having cake envy, BTW.

Twenty-one...ah, that was a fun age. For my twenty-first, my parents and my sister and my boyfriend all flew to Reno for a weekend. I don't think any of us slept for more than four hours the whole weekend and we had so much fun.

Drove through that town a few years back, on my way north, and I couldn't believe what a hole it is now. Pity.

So how does it feel to be 21?

Happy belated! I turned 21 in Feb, and man, everything is way better.

I'm not a drinker, so turning 21 for me was fun only because I could legally go dancing in clubs now. Yay!

Happy birthday!

Happy belated birthday! Sorry we missed it; happy to hear that it was a good one!

How did *I* get included in that august company??? But thank you.

Yes. Netz does often bring a piercing light of clarity to a muddled topic. She's always been a fav here, too.

If you hang around because of me, you should possibly get out more. :p

Seriously, happy birthday. I turned 21 on a Sunday, so I basically just sat at home and listened to my then-boyfriend whine about something. Sounds like you had a MUCH better time than that (thank God).

Happy belated B-day to ImOnIt! :rose:

And Happy B-day to BiBunny! :rose:

and glad to hear I have learned to sound intelligible enough *blush*

Oh, no, it's not my birthday, LOL. I was just remembering when it WAS my 21st birthday. Sorry for the confusion!

I guess 18 was really coming of age, but this time all my relatives send me money and less useful things (lotto tickets are average presents approaching 100% of the time. Ahh... but i did imagine boundless wealth on the way to get it checked.)

Happy belated! I turned 21 in Feb, and man, everything is way better.

At age 21... I am now eligible to visit a casino. I think thats the only significant thing for me here. But by heck I WILL visit a casino, and either double or lose a small amount of disposable income. COME HELL OR HIGH WATER! All my senses tell me that gambling for a negative expected return is terribly stupid, but my friends have arranged a night out so Ill go and blow a little money.

They also want to visit a strip club. No thank you! Ive been once and can't think of many things worse.

Also, Ive had plenty of time to think about things this week (at a good leisurely pace), Im painting and doing labour to save for my final year of university (starts in 2 months, cant come soon enough). I was talking to somebody at my old job a couple of weeks ago, and he was glad I was 'Out of this shithole'.

I had to bite my tongue VERY hard to refrain from telling him I was in the literal, preparing and coating an overflow chamber of an ACTUAL waste system out at the prison. Plenty of time for reflection there :)
