Want to become the recipient of all the sexual gratification the deities of Olympus can think up? Then, create a character in the ancient Greek tradition and head out to the island of Erotiki Ormi. In a contest for the island, the gods & goddesses are vying for the favor of the mortals and you can be one of them.

Possible roles in Greek society:

The aged soldier who has fought his whole life and doesn't know how to relax.

The young fisherman who is a legend in his own mind, 32 seconds is his record. There is so much the goddesses will teach him and it's going to rock his world.

A young seamstress who lost her father to the wild sea. On an isolated beach, she weeps for him at sunset every day.

And what about a poet in the style of Homer. Could be male or female.

These are just some possibilities that I came up with off the top of my head. Choose one or come up with one that is all your own. Post it to:

OOC: Ye Gods

The actual thread is at:

Ye Gods: The Myth of Erotiki Ormi

BTW: We still have lots of gods and goddesses that we need....

Aphrodite, Apollo, Athena, Dionysus.... just to name a few.

See you there!

Honey

Would aged sailor who has fought his whole life and doesn't know how to relax do? You know Jason, Golden Fleece hunters, and lucky to get back alive type. If so where do I sign up? Always looking for another berth.

ARRRRRR ... ARRRRRRRR.

Sounds wonderful, very interesting character. Reminds me of the poem, "Ulysses" by Tennyson. Just set up your character on the island.

Honey, On the Gods and Goddesses
Has Diana been taken? And can I go into the lesser of the greek pantheon, such as Discordia or Ariadne?
:)

I doubt anyone has any objections to the lesser gods, seeing as I am playing Morpheus.

Just to clear up a few names though

Artemis, Orthia and Phoebe are the greek names for diana
Discordia is known as Eris in Greek

The Greek Gods and Goddesses

This lists both their Greek, and their Roman/Latin names, and their respective domains.

And if you are looking for a god to 'play' with until you find a mortal, well this Dark and Sombre one is always available

See you in your Dreams

On the Island

Honey,

I am on the island after coming through a storm to get there. Wet, tired, and pretty well done in. I have found a cave and am presently in deep sleep.

Sorry about the name, Longjohnus but it is all that came to mind.

So much for creative writing!

As you are a Godess, please let somone know i'm alive. Podsiden nearly got me that time.

Hi - I love the idea of a poet, actually poetess in my case.

Jocasta (no not the one who slept with her son, Oedipus)

Eighteen years old and the daughter of a rich merchant, Jocasta writes technically perfect poetry, but she lacks the experience in life to give her poems the fire that will make it great.

She is petite, with a delicate figure. Her dark hair has just a hint of curl and her dark eyes have the dreamy look of a born weaver of words.

How does that sound?

Sounds wonderful, Lorelei.

You know, I do believe Apollo may be the patron of poets. Hmmm...

Good luck and have fun!

What would a Greek myth be without a beautiful young virgin to be toyed with by the Gods? Willing and able, Helena is here to play.

Pueur

There was this shepard boy, let's say, for liability's sake, he is 18. The only love he's ever known was his dear mother, whose flock he keeps, all alone on the chilly windswept hills of the island.

This boy is simple, and the Gods must surely know the dreams he dreams as he takes the little lamb by the hindquarters...

baaaa, baaaa

Welcome Caspai and Polywag. Your characters sound like they would be great additions.

Roland, there's always room for one more. I suppose Caspai's little virgin will need a god to seduce her. Dionysis, Hades, Hermes, or one of the lesser known dieties, whichever you prefer.

Hi! I just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying this thread. I've loved Greek mythology since I was in my teens. It looks like you have your hands full right now with plenty of characters. But if you need another down the line, be sure to let me know.

Baci,

Morgana
