The tournament had rules, but Shao Kahn's thirst for power made peace seemingly difficult to obtain. Impossible even. The ruling Elder Gods had so far prevented Kahn from invading Edenia, but it was certainly only a matter of time before his forces would once again attempt to occupy the realm... regardless of whether or not they had won at Mortal Kombat.

The thought of Shao Kahn forcing a chain around her neck kept Princess Kitana up most nights, often leaving her heart racing and her entire body covered in sweat.

The visions were becoming much more intense, and they lasted longer and longer each time.

Kitana often confided in her lifelong friend Jade, who also acted as her bodyguard and was one of the few persons allowed inside her private quarters. With tears in her eyes, Kitana explained that, if allowed, Kahn's forces would annihilate every potential combatant for the upcoming tournaments. Jade knew that Liu's death many years ago had hit the princess particularly hard, but she'd never seen her so defeated before.

Jade promised to get to the bottom of things, and her confidence helped alleviate some of the troubles that were burdening the princess.

It didn't take long for Jade to discover that there was some truth to Kitana's visions. Kahn was certainly planning something, but the specifics were a bit cloudy. Even the monks at the Shaolin Temple in Earthrealm seemed to understand that dark forces were starting to come into play, though Jade didn't see any promising fighters in their ranks. At least, nothing that reminded her of the Grand Champion.

Jade's worst fears were realized when she relayed this back to Kitana, who suggested that they investigate the matter together. Both were capable fighters, and while Jade wielded an iron-staff with incredible proficiency, Kitana chose to rely on her steel fans for both melee and long-distance combat. Since their bodies could withstand quite a bit of punishment, both fighters chose to array themselves in garb that was traditional for 'young' females such as themselves.

Kitana's cropped blue halter top was short, and it stopped and split above her belly, opening to expose her lightly tanned skin with a laced, cross-stringed pattern over her massive breasts. She also had on a similarly colored thong, which, while concealed from the front by her loincloth, was completely exposed in the back, and it practically disappeared between her fleshy butt cheeks.

Jade's outfit was much the same as her friend's, and it covered the least amount of her olive-skin as possible.

Once they were ready, Jade and Kitana set out for the portal to take them to Outworld. They had a few contacts there, though for the most part the entire world was desolate and crawling with beasts of unimaginable terror.

In the massive, stone courtyard bearing the dragon emblem of the Mortal Kombat tournament, rows of warriors wearing red hoods trained in precise unison—shouting their thunderous “kia” in unison. From the balcony of his high, stone tower, Shao Kahn looked down through the eyeholes of his skull-shaped helmet. The preparations were nearing completion, soon the death squads would be ready to resume their bloody work once again, this time in a different realm.

The loss of Edenia had never sat well with Kahn. It was one thing to try to conquer Earth and fail—but to lose control of a realm which had been his for decades as penance for his thirst for power—it was an aching wound that his pride still suffered the anguish of. It wasn’t an indignity he intended to live with much longer.

Lord Kahn. Your generals are gathered, awaiting your will.Prince Goro’s rumbling baritone announced from the heavy wrought-iron door.

“Has Reptile succeeded in his personal mission? I’m loathe to admit it, but much of this plot depends on his ability to do what he’s claimed.”

At this, Goro laughed—a loud, heavy, rumbling laughter that caused even Kahn’s legendary hammer rattle against the stone wall where it was mounted. A sudden turn from Kahn halted the four-armed beast’s laughter at once.

Based on what he’s shown us so far, my Lord, he’s exceeded even his most grandiose claims.

“I’ll be the judge of what his skills exceed.” Shao Kahn muttered, unimpressed by Goro’s confidence in the results of Reptile’s training. “Let’s go.”

Kahn fastened his metal reinforced cape around his shoulders and grabbed his hammer from the wall. Goro took a moment to regain his composure—even though he was a full four feet taller and considerably heavier, Kahn still chilled Goro’s blood. When not wearing his iconic helmet and mantelpiece, Kahn might be mistaken for a tremendously tall and muscular human—but this would be a lethal miscalculation. Kahn was the sort of fighter that other fighters feared, born of elite Outworld lineage and trained since he was old enough to walk.

The Ruler and the Prince descended into the command room where Reptile and Kintaro were waiting around a huge circular table made from an immense metal circle. In the middle of the table, writhing, moaning, and masturbating themselves were three Edenian scouts. Their already skimpy armor was pulled back from their bodies as their hands grasped at their breasts and penetrated their dripping pussies. Edenia favored female warriors, and it was true that their most skilled could be doubly dangerous by exploiting their sexual appeal to male opponents—but none among Khan’s elite guard were foolish enough to underestimate the deadly potential of Edenian women.

“I see that the trial experiments are going well, that’s good. Now would you kindly get these whores off of my table?” Kahn demanded of Reptile and Kintaro, taking his place at the head of the table. “Underestimating my adversaries has been a problem for me in the past, are you certain that these girls’ reactions are indicative of what we can expect from our adversaries? Remember that both Kitana and Jade are mighty warriors—their power might surpass these scouts many times over.”

“Great Shao, the girls you see were each only given a half dose of my secondary venom.” Reptile answered, muscles still tense with anticipation and readiness.

“Very well, I’ll put my faith in your confidence—but know that the suffering of these pathetic worms will be but a drop in the ocean of unutterable misery that will be inflicted on you if you disappoint me.”

“I will not disappoint you, Great Emperor!”

“My once adopted daughter has been the catalyst for my humiliating defeats too many times. That is at an end after tonight. The trap is baited, now we wait for our targets to arrive. We’ll send a squadron of expendable soldiers to wear them out and give them a false sense of security. Then we’ll strike, with unified force and clarity of purpose until they can fight no longer. I care not for what happens to the bodyguard, Jade—but let none violate the Princess until I’ve had the chance to plant my seed. In this way, shall we unify all realms under the rule of Shao Kahn, righteous ruler of all realms!”

Kahn’s generals let out a celebratory cheer and then all set about their business of setting up the trap for the unfortunate Edenians.

Princess Kitana expected there to be some kind activity once they arrived on Outworld, but the lack of resistance made her feel like things weren't all they seemed. Perhaps it was better that way. As they passed through some ridges in one of Outworld's many [ravines], Kitana thought she saw a shadow moving up ahead on the cliffs. With a silent nod to her friend, the two warriors drew their weapons and prepared themselves.

The dark shadow, it turned out, was just one of Kitana's informants.

"It's okay, Jade. I know this man," Kitana said.

The green-haired fighter relaxed a bit, but experience taught her not to completely let down her guard. She kept her hand on her staff, and her eyes scanned the area for any other signs of life.

"Alright. There's a... Jade? What is it?"

"He was followed," the curvaceous ninja responded.

Kitana turned just as an arrow was shot through the neck of her contact, killing him instantly.

It was an ambush. Jade suspected that the soldiers allowed the spy to meet with the princess, and then decided to spring the trap when they thought it would be safe. It's what she would have done.

Kitana drew out her fans, and Jade lifted up her staff as wave after wave of foot soldiers were thrown at them. It was pitiful, really. The canyon was lined with corpses by the time the attack had slowed down, though Jade was rather annoyed that one of their blades had nicked part of her uniform, exposing one of her fat tits. Without anything to hold it up, the heavy mound was free to bounce around against her chest.

"There should be more coming," Jade said as Kitana finished wiping some blood off of her weapon.

"Many more,"
she added as soldiers lined up on the ridges overhead.

Running wouldn't an option. Jade knew that they would have to carve their way out through their ranks. It was a complete waste of their energy, but they had little choice in the matter.

Reptile had to stagger his steps slightly to be able to keep pace with the flanking squadron of soldiers. All were martially trained and fast—of course, but he was a tournament fighter. None could come close to his speed or strength, but if he surged ahead of the pack, the plan would be ruined and he’d be defenseless against the wrath of Shao Kahn. His head was wrapped in the same red sash with the dragon emblem across his forehead, like all of the soldiers around him. He wasn’t wearing his armor, instead running shirtless among the crowd. If one were looking for him, he could be identified by his far above average musculature, his lack of an apparent weapon and the serpentine fluidity of his strides.

From over the crest of the canyon walls, the sounds of battle could be heard clearly, the superior kias of two female combatants rising above the fray. By the time Reptile and his company of soldiers sealed the way Kitana and Jade had come into the canyon, all of the Shock Troops were dead.

On the opposite ridge, Shao Kahn rode into view astride his massive, black warhorse. At his side, Prince Goro was riding a bull, steering it with one set of arms by the ring through its nose with his other massive, sculpted arms folded across his chest. At the sight of their leader, the main forces who had gathered around the highest edge of the ravine all shouted at once and began spilling down the cliff-sides, flooding the canyon already dense with slain corpses.

Reptile’s contingent was first to join the battle, being closest to the targets by flanking from behind. He waited longer than the others to begin the charge, waiting for both Kitana and Jade to be actively engaged in combat before he took off at his natural speed, leaping from foot to foot and covering the considerable distance between him and his targets in a handful of seconds.

Jade—the primary object of Reptile’s desire, had been partially disrobed by a blade from one of the Shock Troops and now her tit was flopping and jiggling with every movement she made. The close-call had also left a small cut between her nipple and collarbone that he knew he could exploit. When her arm was extended, slamming her staff into the brittle skull of one among Reptile’s squadron, he struck as quickly as a snake—sliding to a stop in the dirt, crouching below her and delivering a brutal uppercut directly to Jade’s straightened elbow. For a mortal, the impact would have ripped her arm cleanly away from her shoulder—for a tournament fighter, it was an attempt at disarming with average chances of success.

Not content with the one attack and conditioned against underestimating female fighters, Reptile exploited his proximity to the target by driving the front of his skull into the bridge of her nose with all the might in his muscular neck. In the moment that she was stunned, with her lips parted to try and regain her breath, Reptile pulled down the sash over his face and let loose with his newest attack, with the highest potency he could infuse into the venom.

The spray of thick, sticky, purple mucus soaked Jade’s hair, face and mask in a second, the full arc of his glut of special venom passing over her cut and dribbled out as he directed the stream back to her covered breast. Jade was almost completely dyed purple from her waist up, and before she cleared her eyes of the high-potency venom, Reptile leapt backwards, doing a flip in the air before landing amongst his troops, unrecognizable in the crowd. He replaced his mask while crouching below the rows of red wrapped heads. He called out orders before rising, knowing that the Reinforcement Troops would be joining the battle.

“Redirect attention to secondary objective!” Reptile called out from the crowd, shoving those closest to him in Kitana’s direction.

He took the first long strides toward Kitana as he heard Kintaro’s bestial war-cry from the opposite end of the ravine. The air was heavy with blood already.
