Good morning all - very cool, cloudy, rain likely - 9am EST in NYC.

But this weather can't dampen the spirits of the Mets and their fans - big congrats. Looks like Subway Series is a shoe in. Yanks best pitchers up tonight. I do feel for St. Louis, not only do their best pitchers just crumble under the onslaught of both the apparently peaking, wild card Mets and their dauntless fans - but they also must suffer the news that the Gov. of Mo. (the beloved state I was born in) perished in a plane accident last night. Back fucking luck!

But it should be interesting - this Subway Series. Howard Stern and his gang have been betting on how many area fans will loose their lives - due to some sort of violent fan act - by the time the series is over. Sick shit.

Morining??

What do you mean morining?

Morning to you Sparky...it's cool, rainy, 50 degrees 6:20 PST in Seattle! GO MARINERS! :D

mornin'. Cloudy, overcast with a chance of showers this afternoon, but still reaching into the mid-70s

I just can not get into baseball. My mind completely shuts down at the mention. Even when my son played last summer I couldn't get into it.

Work is getting heavy.

Make it a great one everybody!

Morning all. cloudy, rainy, and all the trees are almost bare of leaves. Damn its a depressing time, need some snow now!

Good morning Sparky and friends.

Sparky, did you get your hand gun yet? Yes indeed, self defence for the subway series would seem a wise move.

Not only fan violence is a possibility, but what about between the two teams? Do you really think the Mets are not going to try to get even for the Yanks messing up Pretty Boy Piaza's face?

Indy....

Any disrespect is in "your own" perception my words.

I could have ranted and raved regarding the obvious excitement here in our city - I did not - out of respect for the Gov.

I am the type of person who does not wallow in grief very long, and I didn't know the man of course, I still don't know his name, haven't had time to hit my newspapers yet, I have not yet been paying all that much attention.

But I do feel for anyone who perishes, anywhere, from anything.

Tell ya what. Why don't you let us know more about the man? Why don't you allow us, ignorant of his work to become more knowledgeable about him?

Instead of taking the words "bad luck" so harshly.

There you go Indy. I don't think Sparky was disrespectful. And believe you me, defending Sparky is not one of my favorite activities.

Life goes on. The debate in St. Louis apparently is going on as scheduled tonight. I wonder what would have happened if there just happened to be a playoff game in St. Louis tonight. Probably would have gone on.

I too was rooting for the Cards. They barely showed up. Dunno how they could look so good against the Braves and so bad against the Mets. I think the fix was on. Just kidding.

Good Morning

It's a beautiful day in the northern plains, It's sunny and 43 degrees, not bad for the nation's ice box. Looking forward to a subway series, haven't had one since the fifties, correct me if I'm wrong.

Who woulda thunk, The Vikings are 6-0, it's a great weekend when the 'Skins win, The Vikes win, and those stinking Cowboys lose. (holds up beer can) doesn't get any better'n this.

Deborah! The fix???

I was kinda thinkin' the save thing while watching the game with my wife. She, a Mets fan, turned it off because she couldn't take seeing the faces of the Cards when they made those fielding errors.

I do think that the stadium and the Mets fans play no small role. If the Subway Series happens it will be very interesting purely from a social aspect - two of the wildest, craziest stadiums/fans in America vs. each other. I tell ya - it will be insane.

Indy - we cool - I am a blood Show Me State boy - born St. Lukes in KC, as was my brother and my father and about 50 other in laws. Just spent time there in Jan. 00 - my grandma's funeral - 93 she was. My uncle Drag - just turned 97 out that way.

That's how you can really tell if someone's really (blood line wise) is from Mo., or maybe anywhere in the mid-west - all there great uncles have names like my do - Drag, Pudge, Doc, Rudy, James w/the beard, and on and on - sod busters all.

I love'em.

Morning everyone!! Ok its 1100 but damnit I work til 3 am!! Its raining again here in eastern PA I think it is always raining!!
