Arakos felt the pull suddenly, as if someone had just turned a spotlight on him to wake him from a deep sleep. After centuries, some foolish mortal was summoning him to the mortal world. Curiosity filled him; was this a practiced sorcerer who had prepared the necessary protections to keep herself even somewhat protected from him, or a dabbler who had no idea what she was doing? That it was a female, there was no doubt, as he could tell from the nature of the pull which rite had been used, and he knew this one required the participation of a woman. After a moment, he gave in to the metaphysical pull, and felt himself fading from the world of his creation.
A smile crept to his lips as he began to appear in his new surroundings. A richly decorated study, with large oaken bookshelves lined the walls. Whoever had summoned him was quite wealthy, whatever else she was. Glancing around, he finally noticed his summoner, a beautiful woman passed out on a deep-cushioned couch in the center of the room. Apparently, the rather perverse ritual she had used in his summoning had taken a lot out of her. His smile became a grin as he noticed the lack of circles to keep him bound; not only had she summoned him, but the manner in which she had done so left him completely free.
The first thing he did, before she could wake, was change to a form that would be less likely to frighten her to death. He shrunk, though he remained quite tall and broad-shouldered for a human, and clothed himself in black breeches that left his well-muscled chest bare. The face he chose looked to be that of a man in his 30’s, with dark black hair that fell nearly to his shoulders, and a goatee of the same color. His horns remained, however, black ivory that jutted out to points from either side of his forehead, and his eyes remained the same black, pupiless orbs they had been prior to his summoning. Only once the change was complete did he speak up, “You called me?”
(Looking for someone to play a jaded rich woman who involved herself in black magic as a way to get cheap thrills. She did not think that the ritual would actually summon anything, but she finds out just how wrong she was. Please PM with your idea for the woman before posting.)
