A federal judge has approved a permanent injunction against the online Internet Archive from scanning and sharing copyrighted books already made available by publishers.

The interesting part is that it stops the Open Library from lending out, a single loan at a time per single copy it has bought, a digital copy of the book, as a physical library would lend a physical book. It’s going to appeal.
