 Over the last several days, I have googled the names of all my stories. I found 48 that have been ripped off in whole or part and PMed Laurel with the list. If I had googled specific lines from the stories, I probably could have found many more.

I don't know what can be done about this kind of thing. Maybe I should feel flattered but, somehow, I don't. One thing that bothers me is stealing my stories of sweet, gentle sex and listing them as being stories of brutal rape, as some of them have been.

I didn't know what that was Og, so i googled "Fist", but there were too many hits so i tried "Fisting" and now i'm blind.

I tried, I only have a few stories and Changed is far to common to be useful. Jessica's In Charge returns about a thousand liks that all lead back to a scam dating web page.

My name returned a few interesting results. Apparently there is someone else who uses cheerful_deviant and he spends alot of time on nudist webpages. :D

If you google 'oggbashan' you will find me on some peculiar sites.

My story 'Breastfeeding class' seems to be one of the most stolen.

Imagery of a plucked duck running around. Ugh.

Give us a link to a few of those sites, Box. We should all check.

I rarely search using titles; those are easily changed.

Pull a couple of sentences from the middle of your story and google those. Character names are good, also unusual places or situations. Use something that makes your story unique.

Put quotes around it and google that - easier to locate the theft.

All my searches lead to something called 'Casual Sex Blog'.

I'm not worried. The site's such a mess, even if my stories are actually on there, it will be easier to find the Loch Ness Monster.

Even my non-erotic stuff is there, apparently. :D

What I wonder about is that although everything leads to that site, there wasn't a single link the same. How did they grab so many web addresses?

Why oh why did I have to search

Didn't find stories stolen,
but did find a new AV.

Can't use it, probably against Lit's new rules.
you can see it here

I’m sweet and cuddly
With lovin’ to spare
So fondle me naked
‘Cause I’m “Ted E. Bare”!
WB37 Ted E. Bare Plush Toy $10.00

Adorable.

I like the "cheeky monkey" too.

I think I just took care of Carson's Christmas list.

I say stop complaining. Want to get paid? GET PAID, otherwise these types of posts have irritated me for 3 years on Lit. WRITE THEM BOX - TELL THEM -THREATEN THEM! Why bother posting what is known: WE are on a public site! We all get posted elsewhere. It is bound to happen and who the FUCK CARES? Unless someone is pretending to be you? You post your stories for free, for gods sake. Do you expect to be paid? Then dont post them on an open forum!

Nahhh.

From what you're saying I can appropriate anything I find on a public site and claim it as my own.

I think these threads are posted here for the benefit of the rest of us in the AH, to see if any of our works are stolen, too.

Once you write the site owners, they will remove it. They have to. Every time I've located stolen stories on other sites the problem has been resolved. And in some cases, the site actually closes because they have no original material.

I've given stories to other sites and I've promised materials elsewhere without asking for compensation from friends.

But if somebody steals from me I'm going to hunt them down and hurt them.

It's not going to make the guys happy either- that are looking for rape stories and find sweet and gentle instead. It's going to give you a bad name in the Macho Asshole circles...
I have found one of my articles on magic on another site, and when I got in touch with them they credited me and added a link back to me, as I asked. They also asked if i wanted to remove it entirely.

Some paysites simply use the titles and first few words of a story to get search hits. The stories aren't actually anywhere on the site.

I found one of my stories has been stolen also. I didn't see a place on the offending site to contact anyone.

Ooh - what's the name of the site? We'll find the bastards!

Let's learn how to use a whois" function :)
Here's a simple way of doing it- go to godaddy.com and type in the name of the domain as if you wanted to register it. Godaddy will tell you the name is taken. Click the "further info" button, and type in the security code, and you will usually find someone's personal information all over the page.
Scary, huh?
If you have a domain of your own, you might feel like paying for the private registration option....

Exactly.

Some of the addresses I've found on WHOIS are obvious fakes, but others have yielded results.

It's a place to begin, anyway.

Seriously, though. PM Laurel with the information - it WILL be handled.
