Burisma Slashed Hunter Biden’s Salary When Donald Trump Took Office, New Indictment Shows

Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings appeared to reduce Hunter Biden’s salary after his father’s vice presidency concluded and former President Donald Trump took office, according to a new indictment.

Burisma hired Hunter Biden to sit on the company’s board in spring 2014 and began paying him more than $80,000 per month while then-Vice President Biden ran the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy, bank records show. His salary dropped significantly beginning in March 2017, according to a new indictment leveled against Hunter Biden by a grand jury in California Thursday for numerous tax related charges.

“In or around April 2014, the Defendant joined the board of directors of Burisma Holdings Limited,” the indictment reads. Hunter Biden lacked experience in the energy industry and Ukraine affairs prior to his position with Burisma.

“Burisma agreed to pay the Defendant an annual salary of approximately $1,000,000, to be paid in monthly disbursements. In March 2017, Burisma reduced his compensation to approximately $500,000 a year but he continued to serve on the board of directors until in or around April 2019. As a result, he received a total of approximately $1,002,016 in 2016, $630,556 in 2017, $491,939 in 2018, and $160,207 in 2019,” the indictment adds.

So when Joe was no longer Vice President Ukraine cut his son's salary by half.

That's true but Hunter was selling "Joe" who is the family brand.
Yes, I get that you believe that. One single email referencing "the big guy" isn't enough to support your beliefs...sorry.

I believe BabyBoobs or some other right wing idiot made the same breathless fuck-up in another thread.

Joe Biden made his money AFTER he left office in 2017.

Hunter getting his salary cut after Joe left office in 2017 doesn’t work for the math or the narrative.

RussiaGuide tried…and FAILED…again.

Proof.

You wouldn't know proof of it bit you in your bulbous arse.

Makes perfect sense to me Hunter’s salary would be reduced after his father left office.

And by the way Rightgude, you calling the reduction proof Joe was on the take is another misstatement from you. As in, proof you make them.

Proof is a waste of time for two reasons.

1) Proving it won’t change anything.
We've heard that argument before from the MAGAs.

'So, we won't bother proving (whatever we are lying about) because a) we can't, b) we can't, c) we can't.'

Proof is a waste of time for two reasons.

1) Proving it won’t change anything.

2) They are ALL on the take. That’s how they manage to live in one of the most expensive places in America, on a couple hundred grand, and walk away as millionaires.
Whenever a "both sides" argument is deployed, it's always to shield conservatives from accusations of wrongdoing.

What does that have to do with Joe? Everyone knows and readily admits that Hunter was trading on his dad's name. There's not a shred of evidence that Joe had any involvement or got any money from any of Hunter's business dealings. Hunter simply became less "valuable" (not that he ever actually provided any value) to Burisma when his father wasn't VP anymore. Simple.

Without Joe..Hunter is unemployed.

Or Jews when they're busy murdering the Palis. You did that yourself recently!
The atrocities Hamas committed on October 7th don't excuse the civilian casualties Israel has subsequently caused in Gaza.

There's no evidence President Biden has committed any crimes. Republicans keep implying there is to excuse Donald Trump's blatant criminality.

Either you're an idiot who shouldn't be commenting or you're intentionally lying.

The impeachment committee has a copy of a check made out to Joe which equal "10%" of monies received by his brother from foreign interests. The committee has the bank records which show that at least 1 of Hunter's companies paid Joe DIRECTLY each month from money paid to Hunter and received from, among others, China.

The committee has testimony from IRS investigators which prove that the companies set up by Hunter have no assets and conduct no business, submit invoices to other companies, or have accounts payable. Yet these companies get paid money from accounts which get money from foreign interests. Then these same companies pass on that money to other "Biden" accounts, a portion of which eventually filters back to Joe.

So, saying that "there's no evidence" is a lie. That you make that claim proves that either you're a liar or you're so dense and uninformed even at this late date when all of this information is out in the public domain that you shouldn't be commenting AT ALL.

Even James Comer has admitted they don't have any actual evidence. He keeps saying "I HOPE to prove..." The so-called IRS whistleblowers, who didn't actually have whistleblower status, all admitted that they had been paid by Trump associates. And I believe two of them had been fired from the IRS "for cause" unrelated to their so-called whistleblowing, the third was suspended pending investigation. That's why that first hearing was a complete dud and nobody talks about those morons anymore. The money that Joe received from his brother was the complete, publicly DOCUMENTED repayment of a loan. Show me any documentation that proves your "10%" had one iota to do with "foreign interests". You shitheads keep making wild, borderline-retarded claims that you can't back up.

You’re either uninformed, knowingly lying, or both.

I’m settling on both.

Let me help:

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/10/31/...ade-a-personal-loan-to-his-brother/index.html

From the article:

Comer’s team does not dispute that these banking records show that James Biden was sent a $200,000 wire transfer on January 12, 2018, less than two months before James Biden and Sara Biden wrote Joe Biden the March 1, 2018, “loan repayment” check for $200,000.

So why, given the matching amounts and the “loan repayment” text on the check, does Comer not “believe” that Joe Biden ever made the loan? A Republican aide on Comer’s committee argued to CNN that there are reasons for doubt that the $200,000 wire transfer to James Biden was actually from Joe Biden.

We’ll get into the aide’s arguments later in this article. But the evidence reviewed by CNN supports Democrats’ assertions that Joe Biden was the person behind the $200,000 wire transfer to his brother.

Here’s why.

The banking records reviewed by CNN show that the $200,000 wire transfer was sent from an attorney trust account (an account used by a lawyer to hold a client’s money) at a Wilmington, Delaware, law firm that Joe Biden co-founded decades ago and that still has his longtime friend Melvyn Monzack as a partner.
