Do those pronouns hurt you? Did they cause you harm? I highly doubt it. The name people call me by, that I’ve told them to call me, isn’t my legal name. Most people in my life, presumably, don’t get mad that they’re not using my government name.

Pronouns work the same way, I like when someone has their pronouns visible because it gives me comfort in knowing that I won’t offend with mis-use.

What an outdated, outmoded way of thinking, being upset at someone being clear in what they’d like to be called.
