More options

I've started a program to expand the options in my stories and well-established threads in other's stories.

I'm going through some stories looking for good opportunities to add alternate choices, especially those threads where I've added six or more in succession. Sometimes I get a storyline in my head and I want to write it out to a semi-conclusion. I may end up with ten or more threads, one after another.

So far, I've added some options to Book of Magic, The Super, and Errands.

I feel this will help increase the collaboration on stories, because it will supply more niches for people to fill in. It also plays on the strength of CHYOO stories -- the 'CHoose' part.

I would welcome other authors looking for good jumping off points in my stories, and I will do so in yours as well. I've always done that in Weekend in an all girls dorm, The Choices We Made, Absolute Power, and others. But I'm going to look for more.

Comment on my theory about collaboration?

None other than that I have been trying to do the same with some of my stories lately, that it is a good idea in my opinion (obviously, or I wouldn't be doing it) and that this again brings forward the need to add a "Total Number of threads" to the Story summary in Chyoo 3.
And also, why is it that collaboration is almost always something between two writers and two writers only? It would be great to see tthree writers (or more) contributing to the same story-three.

Hmm, most stories I contribute regularly to that have more than a few threads have many authors, though many are no longer active. I have noticed that often with young stories, two authors will spread themselves around the various threads until more start contributing.
