A man who said he was investigating a conspiracy theory about Hillary Clinton running a child sex ring out of a pizza place fired an assault rifle inside the Washington, D.C., restaurant on Sunday injuring no one, police and news reports said.

About average seems to think that he either had a $250 federal license to possess a fully automatic weapon after a very extensive background check or he illegally converted it to full automatic himself. That seems unlikely.

I would say that's highly unlikely because someone actually using a fully automatic weapon in a crime hasn't occurred in so long wouldn't you think that would be the main story or are you saying they simply buried the lede in an effort not to be inflammatory towards gun owners?

I mean either of the possible options that you suggest would have been a huge story I would think. In one it's a failure of the BATF to properly do a background check on someone buying a fully automatic weapon and on the other hand if the other was true then it would be a highly sought-after news item by people like you that want to pretend that people are going around converting ordinary hunting rifles black or otherwise to full automatic.
