More Erotic. Dressd or Naked ?

Ok this is a poll to see just what people find erotic in terms of how other people dress, or not.

Personally I feel sexier when I am not totally naked, and I think a lot of men prefer to see women in lingerie. (Why else would we get all those gift sets bought for us).

Other people find other items of clothing erotic, again I personally like a guy in denim.

I cast my vote before I read your intro, but I agree with you - I'd generally rather see a woman in something sexy and/or semi-see through than totally naked... I think it's kinda like the pretty wrapping on a Christmas present. It leaves a some mystery but it's fun to unwrap!

For me, a well-dressed man is an incredible turnon, though denim has an appeal as well. I love a candle-lit dinner with soft music, wine, dancing. As the intimacy grows, the passion blossoms. I think casually dressed men express more of their personality than guys in a business suits, which makes them more approachable in my opinion.

I can tell you that many men buy lingerie for their women so that their women will feel sexier, and thus give him more "quality time". Thus, I don't know if lingerie is preferred over nudity, overall, except that a nude woman might or might not be in the mood for sexual things, whereas a lingerie-clad one is much more certain to be.

My preference? To be near women, in whatever state of dress they wish.

I know in my opening post I mentioned lingerie made me feel sexier. I think there is more to it than that though. I am sure am not the only women who doesn't feel totally comfortable being totally naked, unless I am with someone I really trust. I think the lingerie acts a bit like a comforter, a confidence booster. For me anyway.

From a different view point, I think men find it arousing, and fun to peel off, coax off what ever. Sometimes I do a striptease which I find great fun and a great turn on, using my body and the music to get my guy really ready for action. Sometimes I get it all off, but usually he can wait.

There is something very erotic in being undressed by a guy and undressing a guy. I think thats all part of the fun. Its intimate and I think slowly peeling each other clothes off is like an overture to a symphony.

I'd have to say a mixture between....

casual and scantily clad. The thing for me is that, while lingerie is a complete turn-on, there are other 'in-between' states of dress...

I love a woman in panties and a t-shirt - very simple and not necessarily trying to be sexy which makes her sexier all the more - just the sight of that - maybe she's getting ready for bed, is sitting there reading or stretching - can get me completely turned on without her even knowing it therefore its almost a surprise when I make love to her so passionately...

Shorts and a thin top that reveals the stomach?

Old, roughed up jeans, one button open, bare feet and wearing one of my shirts?

A business suit or other formal attire which, when I slip my hand down the front or back, reveals either a thong or, better yet, nothing?

I have to say, the naked female body is the most luxurious, beautiful, exotic thing in the world...but that is part of a greater experience that always best begins with some type of clothing that arouses the senses and stirs up lust and desire. And, when stripped away, makes the soft fruit beneath even more delicious...

Deeper than that, for me being totally naked and feeling at ease is like being stripped of all inhibitions, like the last veil being lifted.
Then I am as I really am.

I think modesty has a part to play, whilst I would be happy to pose for scantily clad photos and feel comfortable about sharing them - I would feel less happy to pose naked or lewdly and to share such images freely with strangers.

To do so would take something away from my own self respect and those I care deeply for.

well, I dont go for the horse part, but I do agree about the shoes.. when I go casual I like a well fitting pair of jeans, a stretchy sweater, and a pair of really nice shoes... something about the total look, nice shoes with stylish jeans... I seem to get more smiles from women when I dress that way...

I prefer a woman to just be herself. I am not really into woman who wear a ton of makeup. A woman dressed leaves alot more to the imagination as well, it is the thoughts of what is hiding that turns me on.

As a photographer, I like women in every state of dress or undress. The turn on is how she carries herself. The state of sexiness is in how she acts, walks, talks, etc..
Sexuallity is the ultimate form of comunication.
I would assume it is the same for most women???

I appreciate your point of view but I have to disagree.

I think the way someone dresses says a lot about their personality. The way someone dresses reveals alot about how they feel about themselves. The care they take in their appearance (without be vane) is a measure of their own self respect. It also affects the way in which people react to you.

Cosmetics are thousands of years old, used by cultures from all around the world. I agree the use of make up can be over done, but if used subtly and correctly it can be a girls best friend. (after the one in the bedside drawer)

If you were to pick 10 people of either sex at random and line them up you would be better able to guess at the type of person each was if they were clothed than if they were just simply naked.

By the way, great poll. It's funny, I've never really thought much about what turns me on in regards to dress (or undress)...I've always just reacted to it...and when I think about it it's kind of a bummer to think of the many beautiful women out there who hide behind tons of makeup and flashy clothes...

Not that there isn't a time or place for that...it all depends on the person...if they use that as an accent (to their personality, physical beauty, attitude, etc) it works. But I've come into contact with many women, of all ages, who absolutely will not go out the door unless all done up and actually fear the possibility of someone seeing them in a more natural state.

Everyone likes to feel sexy and I'm sad that some people have to manufacture it when, in reality, it often comes most easily when allowed to shine by itself...just some thoughts I was having...
