Read an AP story in the local paper.

Polled Teens say Pot easier to obtain than tobacco!

So to win the war on Drugs, we obviously have to make it a Legal Product so that we can regulate, tax, and sue it out of usage...

...or at least get the Mexican Army to smuggle in illegal cigs for kids too.

I mean, to keep them off the Pot.

:D

We are not winning either war. As long as there are lobby people in Washington who support the tobacco industry, and we keep putting crooked politicians in office and letting them stay there, we are not going to win the tobacco war.

As for the war on drugs ..... HA ! That is the biggest joke. Law enforcement keeps focusing on the middlemen and the low tier street dealers, and as long as they don't focus on the importers and the high dollar distributers, that war is going nowhere fast. For every street level dealer they bust, 20 more are waiting in the wings to take over.

And for the record ... I smoke both ciggies and pot.
I am a bad person.

It seems there's some progress reducing cigarette smoking, I thought the numbers of smokers are down dramatically? I also read somewhere that even with the higher cost of cigs, that it's not covering the total expected smoking related medical costs.

I don't know anything about the other thing.

Off to read the papers. I'm curious to see if the Democrat Daily (Washington Post) has anything to say about this past weekend.
