My son was playing games on my laptop today when he accidentally knocked it off the bed. It wasn't a huge drop, just from the bottom bunk to the carpeted floor. But it was enough. Now I've got lines on my screen. One particularly bothersome one looks like someone took a thin paintbrush and made a green line and spatters on the screen.
I don't suppose warranties cover things like that, do they? Of course, I could be dishonest and say that I don't know what happened, that I turned it on this morning and there the lines were. But that isn't like me; I'm too honest to do that. Besides, I'm sure they wouldn't believe it even if I did. I guess I'm stuck with a screwed up monitor screen now. I sure can't afford to pay to have it fixed.
Anyone familiar with the warranties on laptops bought at Best Buy? It is an eMachines computer, if that makes any difference.
