Monthly contest winners???

I posted a comment on a thread called ‘Be Very Afraid: It's The Literotica Halloween Erotic Story Contest!’ started by Laurel the other day.
My intention was to try to poke a little fun at the line in Laurel’s post that said ‘We will allow authors who have won in our monthly contests within the last 6 months to win in this special contest. However, if you have won a prize in another theme contest within the last 6 months, you are not eligible to win in this one.’

I then asked “Have I missed something? Has somebody won a monthly contest in the last 6 months?”

First of all, my post mysteriously disappeared and wasn’t on the thread the next day. I’d assumed the ‘powers that be’ had simply got rid of it. However, today I found it had somehow been moved by persons unknown to the Halloween Contest support thread.

Second, I was expecting someone to point out that either, one, I was an idiot and that I just had to look in such and such a place and I’d find the winners; or two, Literotica had cancelled the contest six months ago and how come I wasn’t smart enough to know that.

Given the comment I read by ‘darkside’ today, and another posted by ‘bearlee’ (which was posted last month), I’m now worried that maybe the winners haven’t been announced after all.

Do any of you insiders have any info on the March, April, May, June, July, August winners? I had always assumed it was an automatic process and the computer simply spat out the names of the winners on he fifteenth of the month following.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Winners have been announced through February. March, April, May, June, July and August have yet to be determined.

thank you

Thanks but how come? Does anyone have the scoop on why they haven't been declared? Poor needy authors around the world are waiting to receive their few hard earned dollars.

I think they're just behind... not easy to run a site single-handedly...

ha... pun not intended...

Has this ever happened before?

Not that I can recall.

I also understand that Lit is in the process of changing the site design. That undoubtedly takes a lot of work.

or Lit being so behind?

To the former, probably not...
To the latter, I know not...

They have? I just checked the Awards and Contests section, and the last entry was for the winners for February.

Most definitely. I hadn't heard of a site remodel, either. I guess I'm behind.

About your behind, you mean?

Lovely.

I have never seen Laurel and Manu this far behind. There may be other things happening of which we are unaware.

I have seen scouries complain about contests before, however, so I didn't even want to post here.

I couldn't resist the butt pun, however.

Howdy, Mr. Moon. Good to see you around. SK erred not. That's a period, not a comma between February and March.
