Monarch of the Glen

So nerd American that I am, I watch public television. There is a series there from the BBC called "Monarch of the Glen." I noticed that this week they're going back to the beginning of the series instead of carrying on from where they left off. The last episode was of the Hogmonay celebration. I think it was the last of Series 5. I checked the BBC site, and it appears there is a Series 6; is this the series that is airing in the UK now? Am I going to have to wait FOREVER to see it here in the U.S.? Most importantly, this show hasn't gone off the air, has it?!

Yep, it's still on air. I think it's series 6 that is showing here right now, on BBC1 on Sunday evenings.

I quite often watch it, not the best thing on TV, but light-hearted and wholesome family viewing nonetheless.

I didn't think it was mainstream or very popular, but then I have no idea what goes over well in the UK. *shrug* I like it. Kind of reminds me of the place and people where I grew up.
