Mom moves in for a bit to help son with grandkid on the way. DIL won’t have sex with husband because she’s pregnant and believes it’s bad for the baby. Mom overhears them fight one night and talks to her crying daughter in law.

DIL confesses she’s worried that he’ll cheat on her.

Mom tells her she can’t blame him. Sex is a tier one need. She offers a compromise that she can help take care of his needs to make sure he doesn’t stray. DIL expresses concerns about it being incest and how would she even get him to go along with it, but MIL tells her not to worry.

Maybe in the beginning of the arrangement the wife enjoys it. Her husband is in a better mood and hugging her all the time but not pestering her for sex. It’s the sexless marriage she’s always wanted, right?

The 'bad for the baby' idea is weak. The visiting mom would be able to tell her DIL that sex is fine during pregnancy. Doctors too. Sex during pregnancy is recommended. Besides most women's sex drive shifts to overdrive during pregnancy.

So maybe the incestuous relationship already exists and now it's just a matter of getting the young wife on board, so there's no sneaking around. The mom is staying with them so there's time for the women to bond. Mom is a widow and she's lonely. One day she asks her DIL where the nearest adult novelties story is and they get on the subject of moms unfulfilled sex drive.

Mom mentions she'd like to find someone just like her last husband, and the son is his spitting image. Lot's of little hints and suggestive looks and longing sighs. Mom can't have children any longer the wife realizes, so it's technically just two consenting adults. It takes her a while, but she comes around.

Then the fun part is her trying to 'convince' her husband of what a good thing this would be for his mom and him playing Mr. Reluctant.

DIL is superstitious, gullible, or just dumb. The same willingness to blindly believe that sex would be bad for the baby also leads to her MIL being able to convince her it's not cheating/incest.

Although the wife is happy at first with not being pestered for sex after a while she starts to wonder and starts expressing her doubts to her MIL and the MIL consoles her.

“Oh honey, the lights are off, it’s not cheating, for all he knows he could be having sex with you.”
“It’s not cheating, all 3 of us know about it and what’s going on, we all just seem to have an unspoken agreement not to talk about it.”
"If you wear a condom is it even really sex, technically we’re both humping a piece of latex so at most it’s like we’re rubbing against each other with some plastic between us."
