IRL hypnosis doesn't make you do what you would not want to do, so the backstory tells why Mom has a repressed wild side that needs release. My sweet old grandma was a motorcycle mama in her day, and a smuggler. My ultra-Christian cousin used to be into Satanic death-metal music. What flipped Mom's switch? How did she feel, going to the magic show in Sin City? Did she unconsciously expect to pop her buttons? The story explores her psychology, her sexuality, her youthful 'experiments', her subsequent repression.

Man, that would be perfect to happen to my annoying hot mom. She's not prom and proper, but not a slut either. She's super snobby and stuck up because she knows everyone thinks she's hot. She's an event planner and sometimes hosts or co-hosts other local things like conventions and awards event, a few in Vegas. So maybe instead of a magic show, it's someone related to one of her events? I can't think of someone who deserves it more. I'm sure you'll agree when you see what she looks like.

Has she booked hypnotists for events before or is this the first? Does this hypnotist feature sexual suggestions in their shows, and if so, did she know? If not, did you maybe bribe er I mean entice the hypnotist to free her inner slut? Is your mom the only 'volunteer' to receive sexual suggestions or are there others? Is this an 'adult' event so they can act-out before (and with) the appreciative audience?
Option 1: 'Volunteers' go home horny to interact with whomever they're with.
Option 2: 'Volunteers' drag their companions on-stage and fuck them there.

This forum really isn't for chats or roleplays but for, like the name says, presenting and brainstorming Story Ideas, from plot bunnies to desired endings and everything betwixt and between.
I asked those questions because the answers flavor and direct possible writing efforts. Different answers move the story in varied directions. Stories depend on players, their motives and actions, and consequences. We can build stories in (roughly) three ways:
1) Visualize the whole piece like a movie, start to finish, and blog it.
2) Setup a situation and set the players loose to do what they will.
3) Visualize an ending and write a tale leading to that conclusion.
Your post takes approach #2. A writer then needs to know about the players and what drives them. Was your mom maneuvered by you, or the hypnotist, or did she more-or-less consciously put herself there? Did she have any idea what to expect?
Similarly with the setting and consequences: Will the fucking happen at home later, or on-stage, and will the audience participate? We're telling fantasy stories here, not reporting real-life (usually). So whip out the imagination and tell a tale!

It's not whether it's too real or not, it's about whether this is a story idea.
A lot of people gets confused on what's a "high concept" vs. a "story idea".
If I say "a huge metor is going to hit earth" Did I describe Deep Impact, or Armageddon? The answer is... both! They share the same "high concept": huge methor going to destroy Earth, yet one's a more intellectual discussion on the vent, the other is how can some crazy misfits save Earth.
You got a high concept there: Mom, hypnotized, reverts to a stripper and dances on stage (presumably naked or nearly naked).
The idea obviously is a contrast, about keeping her secrets, and somehow this was released.
But HOW did this work? I don't mean the mechanism necessarily, but more like... How did this came about? How did mom reinvent herself from stripper to soccer mom? Did she had to enter witness protection? Got hypnotized / brainwashed with a new personality? Hiding out from the mob or crazy ex? Other? It would lead to VERY VERY different stories, just as giant metor lead to two Hollywood movies.
Once you got the WHY AND HOW, you got a story idea, which is sometimes also called a premise.

Admittedly, when it comes to hypnotism on lit, I tend to suspend my disbelief a bit. I figure the hypnotist is either somewhat empowered or has a way of working their requests so it convinces someone to try something they wouldn't normally.
Still, it would be a bit of a stretch to see a Vegas magic show, the type someone would take their son to, descend into a hypnotist show where participants are asked to strip. I mean, unless mom gets tricked into going to a seedy part of town, I imagine she would be wanting to go to something on the strip. I mean, Vegas might be sin city but just like how casinos will try to be as polite as possible when they get rid of someone who wins too much...they want tourists to walk away having had a good time so they'll come back and blow cash, not walk away having had themselves strip in front of a huge crowd while under some cheap hypnotist's sway.
So I can think of a few possibilities on the set up.
1. Mom gets free tickets passed to her and doesn't check the location. The joint or venue is shady but hey, it's Vegas, live a little. Place is frequented by people who want to watch naive tourists get humiliated in public and sample their "charms"
2. Hypnotist is fed up. He or she knows that the resort or hotel they go through isn't renewing their contract so he or she decides to say screw it and do their best to get the hotel in trouble. So they pull out every dirty trick they know to make a show with all the stuff that they are. NEver supposed to do. Mom is a tempting target and looks like all the other tourists they've been forced to endure.
3. Mom is in charge of entertainment or maybe even the whole hotel. She needs to fire a magician due to budget cuts so she brings in the two the hotel employs and has them compete to see who gets the job. One tries to win fairly, the other decides to keep their job by giving a small show and inviting her son and some personal friends (some who have snuck cameras in to record it) getting her to lose her inhibitions on film ought to make contract negotiations easier.
But, onto the million dollar question: how has mom been hiding this side, where did her stripper or more intimate background come from?
Well, let's go with option 3. Mom runs the hotel or enjoys a big position. Nowadays she's seen as a self made woman who took a failing joint from her late husband and made it a success...of course, that's only because she's taken great pains to make people forget "cinnamon Cindy" the club that cheap slut performed in is now a parking lot, the bouncer lives in Tijuana and the girls that aren't dead from overdoses or abusive boyfriends all found opportunities for work elsewhere in other states. Practically no one remembers how mom's late husband used to have Cindy, in her dyed hair, suck him off while he was making deals with the east coast mobs or have her give table dances to some nice mormons who were willing to let the the mob do a little work despite kicking them out decades beforehand. Nobody but the lawyers, who are now out of country remember the two getting hitched when the Feds wanted to put charges against him, or how he transferred everything to her when he was going to jail...where he was shanked the next day, leaving his pregnant wife to give a barebones funeral that didn't last as long as her stripper clothes and wigs when she tossed them in an incinerator and took back her birth name.
...nobody but an old hypnotist who used to snort a lot of coke in a seedy dive where a girl barely off the bus rode his lap while closing her eyes and repeating she was Cindy.
So when the stage show starts, he doesn't go after the business woman but rather addresses her younger self, a side she thought was. Buried and dead but still eager to rip out of the business suits and overpriced lunch-ins

So, did the hypnotist hit her younger self by accident, or did he knew and was trying to deliberate unleash it to embarrass her, the hotel, or some other purpose?

I figure he knew or digs up dirt that lets him know. I figure he fakes microphone troubles so he can sneak a special command in: "when I touch your shoulder, you will answer me as your 20 year old self"
Depends on the scenario. Maybe he invites the rest of the board to watch his performance so he can make it look like Mom is out of control and abusing the show to act out her own fantasies. Embarrassing the hotel would be harder...unless he taped the performance (it would have to be a smaller one since mom would likely turn down the offer to come on stage) and threatened to release it. The resort claims to be family friendly...but not THAT friendly.
Could also just be to drag her back in the gutter for a bit. He got nowhere busting his assand is losing his job while she just manipulated a dumbass and got rich.

I figure afterwards mom is given a command that if she ever thinks a hateful thought about her son ("I wish he was never born" or "God he is stupid" not something harmless like "why is he late" "oh god he better not have gotten in an accident") she will immediately feel painfully aroused and she needs to hear her son say he forgives her.
Mom ends up keeping the hypnotist on board, much to her chagrin. Alternatively, she opts to pay him a small fortune from her own money to get him to leave, though the thought of him having a taped recording eats at her...though he actually got rid of it, after all he likes her son and he would be ruined if the tape got out.
Mom meanwhile starts to appreciate her son. While he didn't try to stop her performance (though that was more him being stunned, he didn't know it would happen) he also made her trigger something she could control, as opposed to something he could turn on at will.
Maybe about a month after her last horrible thought about her son, he finds her on his doorstep or gets called to her office. He looks glum, thinking his mom and him had made a lot of progress but she isn't acting like she's desperate for release. She instead wants to make love to him and be equal lovers. He's seen her at her most ruthless and her most vulnerable and despite all the crap she put him through, he still seems to love her...and she thinks that she loves him too.
They sleep together on and off and both get something they were missing: son gets his mother's love and attention (in a warped way...she isn't going to suddenly turn into a hugs and kisses mom, andmom gets to know unconditional love for the first time in a long time and have a relationship where neither her nor her lover is trying to manipulate the other.

Let's assume that Mom is susceptible to suggestion because she harbors denied incestuous thoughts and WANTS her inner slut unleashed. Then we can ask, does the hypnotist (any gender) she hired for the event have a history of sexual manipulation? And does Sonny prompt the hypnotist to open-up Mom?
Then, the consequences. Does Mom go wild on stage or does she wait till they return to their shared hotel room? The answers sketch-out the plotline.

Well, maybe she goes a little wild but not that far, farther than the hypnotist thought she would.
For example, I did see this once at a hypnotist show: relatives were called up and hypnotized and a mom was told there was an attractive guy sitting next to her. Her son was told a good looking woman was checking him out and he should flex and show off a bit. They both get set loose and mom starts feeling her son's biceps while he nods approvingly. They get taken out of their trance and both blush and then sit back down, audience has a laugh, innocent fun.
In the story's version though, mom is a hungry cougar who has had a few thoughts about her son. She likes being the center of attention and misses the days she would just snatch a man up.
So things start the same but mom instead deftly drops her panties down her ankles, snatches them in her hand, presses them into her boy's palm and plunges her tongue down his throat.
Audience and hypnotist are stunned and she has her dress halfway off by the time she's taken out of her trance.

I think your meant BEGINS. If scheming Sonny setup the sexualized situation, then he already has a training program prepared, possibly in collusion with the nefarious hypnotist. Is this the turn-Mom-into-a-slut trope? Or only turn-Mom-into-MY-slut? What are his plans for her? How willing is she to submit?

A story of this kind can be enhanced by the woman going to LV with her coworkers or others who know her back at home. Especially if it's at a convention, so her husband is not there to stop it. Now she has to deal with the aftermath of the experience.
Overall, I love this idea for a story and the many posts that have made suggestions.
