The mom is a successful doctor. The son is a smart guy, and is considering med school.

They talk, and the son is thinking about either becoming a doctor or a lawyer. He interned at a legal place, and enjoyed it. But he has no medical experience.

The mom offers to gives a tutorial on what a doctor does on a daily basis. The son agrees, thinks it's a great idea. The mom asks what kind of doctor he wants to be, and he's unsure. So he just says a normal doctor that gives check ups, because it's an important civic duty.

Mom decides to give him a medical exam, and to talk him through the entire process. He agrees. They do everything, and then she wants to do the testicular exam. He's embarrassed and refuses, but the mom explains that she's seen countless naked men, and it shouldn't be a problem.

OR

Instead of the mom doing the exam on the son, the mom tells the son to do the exam on her. She tells him to do the breast exam, which makes him nervous. She tells him that if he becomes a doctor, he'll become used to seeing nudity. Her breasts should be no different to him.

Thoughts? Ideas? Takers?

I like both of those ideas. There just needs to be a way to escalate the action.

We also need some backstory that allows us to suspend our incredulity. What in their personal relationship would drive them to break the incest taboo?

I think the encouraging and supportive mom would be trying to calm her son down before his college interview. When he says that he worries that he has never seen a naked woman, never mind examined one she feels for him and worries that he would be rejected at the interview and heartbroken.

Have you read some of the mom/son stories here? You're suspending incredulity just by asking that they try to do that!:D

Seriously that's why I don't do a lot of M/S stories I need to have that reason to cross the line and it does not fit every premise for me.

The father dying and the mom being the lonely single parent that the son looks out for and tries to become the new man of the house is an easy out. Those feelings of protectiveness leads to the line blurring between being a son and a man. Also seeing as the mom is lonely and needs attention and affection, who better to take care of her than....

Yes, I've read some (not a lot of) M/S tales here, including some that DON'T rely on the usual clichés for initiating the relationship. I prefer such less un-credible approaches. I try to stay as credible as possible in the M/S instances in a couple of my own stories. I'm not much interested in crude fantasy strokers. OK, so I miss out on a lot. Golly gosh darn.
