first of all I'd like to put forward that I'm back after about a years absence YAY me
And more to the point if you're interested in joining me post your interest here or PM me.
I'm just looking for a 'handful' of people three tops...four with myself included;
Preferably literate story loving people with an open mind.
I'm easy to work with so don't be afraid to air your ideas here I'd love to hear any and all suggestions.
A few things you should know about the intended setting is think "neon super city" Vegas meets New York with a space age shine. Private vehicles don't exist and public transportation is divided between train and airship(blimps, zeplins, airbus, skiffs ect...) in all shapes and sizes. I like to call it Nivec.
Within this city there is being known as the Arcane, it powers all the wonders of this city isolated from the world beyond but this is against its will though no ordinary human knows that its a living thing to them its simply a massive crystal locked in a prism of leeching its power. This being reaches out to young men and women and grants them access to its magic for the simple purpose of freedom whispering its will to the chosen Witches(both males and females are referred to as 'witches' in this city as a derogatory term.)
These Witches are seen as terrorists are hunted imprisoned or killed by the aptly labeled Inquistition or NIF Nivec Inquistion Force, heavily armored police with hightech gear and guns to match. Those caught are lab rats at best and some are turned into the mindless WitchHunters.
Witches get their first taste of power round about 16 but aren't able to use it properly until adulthood, but as a side effect it burns out around 30 the power being hard on the human body, and if the NIF doesn't kill them first.
The abilities gifted to them are unique from person to person but they fall under three categories.
Mind: any sort of mental based ability where thought is the source of control or what's being effected.
A few examples:Telepathy, empathy, psychokinesis, mindcontrol, illusion, emotion manipulation, precognition and more.
Body: Self explanatory really much like the above any magic where the body is intergral in its use.
Few examples: Physical amp (+strength speed agility etc), elemental touch(starting fire, freezing, or electrifying through skin contanct or creating traps with simple objects), healing factor or touch, Shape shifting, and more
Soul: unseen abilities harder to explain when one sees it happen, powers that defy science and nature.
Few examples: Possession, teleportation, elemental manipulation, animation(causing an everyday object to come to life and do as commanded, like powerlines acting like tentacles) Doppleganger(at any point creating a powerless souless double of yourself for a short time then it dies and turns to ash), and more.
If you've got suggestions for the above again I'd love to hear them points for creativity, but I'd like to point out balance is kinda important to me so try to avoid going to crazy with powers keep it balanced please
Witches have a limited amount of power in the manner of getting tired or 'gassed' pulling too much on their abilities which the only way to regain power is good'ol rest though is some cases that can take days, but wait there's more! When near other witches that pool of energy expands and becomes 'shared' and more powerful but because it's shared one overusing can tire the whole group...but wait there's more! Being in a group ties them together but staying in said group increases recovery time...but wait there's more!(sry last time I promise felt it was kinda funny). State of mind and relationships have heavy impact on both recovery and impact of their magic, those who are 'intimate' be it just physically or full relationship two mind on the same subject even lust/hate pleasure/pain like minded individuals.
Well that's all I have as it stands before I kick it off, feel free to help me brainstorm.

My character will be:
Liam Undre, a 20 something slightly androgyneous, black hair bright green highlights matching his eyes, shy around those he likes snarky and aggressive to those he doesn't. Has glyph like tattoos along his spine inside hip, fore arms and neck. Dresses in the realm of punk and club style clothes.
Powers yet to decide Thinking Mind abilities but will adjust to flesh out the group or partnership which ever.
