On a desert island, three people laid quietly on a beach. They had found the island months ago, and worked to establish a base. Then they sent out invitations for those who wanted to be pirates. Discreetly, of course, but the invitations were out there. Hank Vilron sat in a beachchair, looking out at the sea. Laying on beach towels next to him were his two companions and crew members, Nami and Robin. Nami was laying out on her stomach, getting a tan with her top undone. Robin, however, was up on her elbows looking at him with a questioning look in her eyes. Hank felt her eyes on him, and sighed, turning to look at her.

"What? You only stare at me like that when I'm doing something wrong."

Sam

Name:Sam
Sam had a nasty reputation in the taverns all along the eastern US sea board as somone who didn't take crap from anyone. He had been in the modern day version of the merchant marines which was actually a front for pirateering. He knew a thing or two about the sea and knew how to take what he wanted. Sam is proficient in most weapons. He also had a reputation as quite a ladies man.

Sam had gotten a letter from some guy named Hank inviting him to join his group. The letter had said something about enjoying theopen sea and going where ever the winds ould take them. Good line considering there weren't many sail boats left that would want him on board.

With his reputation, he knew what this guy was looking for.

IC:
Sam arrived at the little island that the map in his letter had indicated. He looked around a little and found a big boat that was under some repair. He wondered down to the beach where three people were laying, enjoying the sun.

He walked up and said to the guy in the chair "Hello, my names Sam, you Hank?" as he looked downn at the two beautiful women with him.

"Well, you know... I don't think sending out invitations was a smart idea..." I interrupted my words when I saw the new arrival. A blondie with a bit of an mechanical problem. Daaaamn...

I let myself fall on my back again, and stretched. My back arched, my breasts perking up. I was conscious the kind of effect that had on others, but you know... if I always thought of their reactions, I would never get anything done in here. Or enjoy myself. I collapsed down on my towel with a groan, relaxedly, as I surveyed the new arrival.

Hank laughed, then shook his head. He turned to the new arrival, and bowed his head slightly. "I'm Hank. You must be the first recruit. What's your specialty?" He took a sip from the drink near him, and then turned slightly to gauge Robin's and Nami's reaction, while still watching the young man.

Sam

"Primarily weapons. The bigger the better I always say. But I know enough mechanical stuff to help out with that too." Sam said. "Hey, where's a guy get something to drink around here? I ran out of drinking water on my boat about 30 miles before I got here." he said eyeing Hanks drink.

I arched an eyebrow. Taste for big guns, and mechanic skills? Fuck, this guy wanted my job. I closed my eyes, feeling the sun warm up my face as well as the rest of my body.

"Big guns, huh... you'll have a few here, but they are all mine, so you better treat them nice, Ok? As for drinks, there is a fridge-bag right over there."

I rose my arm to point with my thumb over my head and towards the palm trees a few meters behind us.

Hank laughed, then stretched, and stood up. "We also have a natural spring on this island, in the interior. We'll need to do some construction, of course. Buildings, we have to hide the ship in a cove once it's finished, things like that." He turned to look at Robin, then picked up his drink and headed towards the one building they had, which was a sort of bunkhouse.

"No problem cap'n, I can help with all that. Right now though, I definitely need water." Sam said as he followed Hank.

"Yeah, you guys go ahead and get acquainted. I'll be along soon enough..."

That meant I was not going to be along any time soon. It had costed Nami and Hank some to drag me out here, and damnit, I was going to enjoy it. Besides, I did want to catch a bit of a tan now I was on it.

Hank shook his head, then headed inside. "It's not much, but we can make it bigger. We'll need to build a working plumbing system anyways. Some kind of generator too. Just to let you know. We only attack the Viros Empire and Black Pirates. We're Blue Rogues, after all. Also, we'll be giving about three quarters of what we take to the needy. After all, we're the good guys. Pick an empty bunk, and then grab something to drink. We have bottles of juice, and of course the spring out back."

Nakamura Junichi

So the letter said to come to this tiny little island. I had no idea what i was doing, but I had a few days change of clothes, and toiletries. So here I was on this little tiny boat headed to . . . some island I didn't even know why I was doing this. I got off and dragged the boat on land and tied it up to a tree. I sat down for a bit, and decided I'd have to look for the new boss, whoever he or she was.

Walking around a bit, I found two women and two men standing around on the beach and walked over. I waved my hand at them and smiled, "Hello, I'm looking for the person who sent this letter, I'm inquiring about a job," I said in my british accent. I brandished the the letter, my shoulder bang slung around me.

Sam looked around the room. He picked out a bunk and started to unpack his bag into a foot locker. He had left most of his stuff behind so it didn;t take real long. That tends to happen when you have leave somewhere quick. He took his canteen and followed the path to the spring. After filling it for the second time, he went and found Hank.

Nami woke from the bit of a doze she had fallen into. She had slept through sam coming up, but on the shore she saw someone else. she stretched and yawned. Vaguely wondering where Hank had gone, she rolled over and looked up at the sky.

So they have started showing up, maybe I should get some food ready.

"Mmm," she yawned again and rolled back onto her stomach, closing her eyes, "Nah... " She shook the idea off as she drifted into another lazy doze, might as well enjoy it while she had the time.

Now, another newcomer. I was slightly miffed already. Couldn't a mechanic have a rest around here? Oh, well. I sighed softly, and looked at the newest guy. Another Asian, huh...

"Hey there. Yeah, this would be the place you applied for..." I inwardly cursed to myself. Of all ideas, this had to be Hank's worst, and it was working!

Nakamura Junichi

I smiled at the woman who addressed me. I offered my hand "Hello madame, I am Nakamura Junichi," I said in my accent. "I am, I am an acupuncturist and masseuse. My other specialty is unarmed combat."

I blinked then said "wait a tick, you said apply? I didn't know I had to fill out an application to be here, um . . . is there something I'm supposed to know about? because I didn't know there were more people applying for medic."

Hank slowly walked down to the beach again, and spotted another new arrival, just as he asked about applications. He laughed, then shook his head. "You don't have to worry about applications. We're Rogues, remember? You'll be fine. The bunkhouse is back there, pick an empty bunk and get settled in." He sat back down in his beachchair.

Sam

On his way to the beach, Sam met an oriental guy heading to the bunk house, "Hey, my names Sam" he said extending his hand. "Want me to show you around, at least as well as I can anyway since I just got here myself only a few minutes ago." he said before drinking his cantten dry. "I need a refill anyway."

Nakamura Junichi

I nodded toward the man who spoke up "hai, I mean um yes sir." I extended my hand to Sam, "Nakamura Junichi" I said, somewhat clipped. "I just need to find a place to put part of my stuff down."

"Nakamura? ok, well, follow me." Sam said as he led him to the bunk house. "Hank said to just pick a bed" he said as Nakamura picked one and set his stuff down. "There's a spring out back for fresh water, Hank said they have juice too." Sam told him and headed out to go back to the beach to see what Hank wante done first.

Nakamura Junichi

I nodded and grinned, I came from a hot place. This wasn't anything new, I pulled out a plastic bottle of water and dumped something in it. Shaking it up, it looked like black seeds with fur was in my water, I took a sip as I went back outside. I left my clothes and pulled my bag with me. I didn't want people to get to my medical equipment, could be dangerous.

I walked outside and sat down watching the beach for a bit, and turned to the man who spoke, he seemed to be the leader, I asked him "so what now?"

Hank looked up at the new crew member, and considered his question. There was a lot of work to do, mainly on the island, but the ship was also not quite finished yet. "Let's see. Do you know any carpenters, chefs, armorers, or anything like that? We need more crew members, and this base needs work. Also, I guess for now we relax."

Nakamura Junichi

I looked at the guy for a moment. "I'm a pretty good chef, I'm good with small things," I wiggled my fingers "good dexterity, but I'm not a great handyman"

Hearing Hank tell Nakamura what needed to be done, "Whenever you're ready boss, we can get to work on some of that stuff, but if you want to relaxe a little, I'm all for that." Sam stripped down to his boxers and kicked back on the beach felling the warmth of the sun on his body.

Nami rolled over at hank's words and crossed her arms, sitting up, "Hey, I'm the only chef around here." She was quite insistent on her favorite way to torture her shipmates, and she wouldn't have it taken away from her.

She looked at the other two men, smiled, and waved dismissively as she rolled back onto her stomach and closed her eyes again, stretching and yawning, "And don't talk so loudly, you keep interupting my beauty sleep."

Hank grinned. He couldn't help but tease Nami. "You don't need beauty sleep. Now, me, on the other hand...."
