Story is set in a 'Modern Day Fantasy' like setting. Basically the guy is a Cop or PI or something and is investigating some possible murders. he stumbles onto the murderer who may be a woman and it turns out that 'yes' she is the one as we get things from her POV. It turns out she is a succubus but one with some kind of code she lives by. She seduces men who are bad by her code, Evil business tycoons, rapists, murderers, ect and gives them the night of their life...their last night.
Then she consumes them.
She's attracted to the Cop who is pursuing her but he is a 'pure soul' or something to that affect and though she could easily consume him she chooses not too. So it kinda leaves them doing the 'will they, won't they' dance for a bit. But their relationship gets steadily more sexual with both of them slowly giving in to their desires for one another. A slow burn if you will.
Eventually they do take the plunge and thats when things change.
