I clicked into LITEROTICA today and found my thread had been unceremoniously moved to the GENERAL BOARD. I’m not sure The Conformist if it was your decision or if you were simply following orders from the gods upstairs. I’d appreciate knowing if the decision was yours or somebody else’s.
I would also appreciate receiving the reason for its removal if it was your decision. I must say it seems strange to me that a thread that was first posted back in early May and has received over 1000 replies and 15,000 views should all of a sudden be yanked. Especially in light of the fact that over the last month or so it had lost much of the ugly vitriol that characterized its early days.
Is there a reason? Quite frankly I would have much preferred it if you’d had the courtesy to tell me first or at least had advised me of your reasons after having done it. It was simply RUDE of you, or whoever made the decision, not to advise me. And please, don’t claim to having no time, as you said in one of the few posts you’ve made (see above), the STORY FEEDBACK forum moderators job “is a particularly easy job”. Like invisible!

Knowing the standards of fair play and free speech that this site and its owners continually espouse I’m sure there must be some sort of appeals process available to challenge decisions of this sort. Please advise me how I should proceed.
We all know that my thread (The SCOURIES reader - for both fans and serious scholars…) belongs where it was in the STORY FEEDBACK forum. In fact, given that the most popular threads in the forum are the NIPPLE one and the new PUSSY one (by the way, what they have to do with story feedback has always baffled me), it would be hard for anyone to argue that a thread that actually has STORY REVIEWS in it (albeit written by the author), FEEDBACK ON CONTEST STORIES, SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE SITE and FEEDBACK from readers, belongs somewhere else while a threadful of nipples is perfectly acceptable.
C’mon man, Bowing to the mob isn’t pleasant to watch, especially from a group that has always espoused freedom of speech. You embarrass yourself and the sites owners.
Re your role as moderator THE CONFORMIST:
I’m not sure what the role of a MODERATOR is but in this case you’ve been an utter and total failure. As I said in a post a long, long time ago on the thread, I’d never imagined it would be much more than a thread where I posted my story reviews and my opinions. A quite simple thread much like two or three others that various other authors have started (i.e. maharat and oily).
I even asked from post one that people: PLEASE DO NOT POST REPLIES ON THE THREAD. I understood that certain AHers, who still were licking their wounds, their fragile egos bruised, harbored some anger over my 2006 NUDE DAY CONTEST thread so I chose to post in the STORY FEEDBACK FORUM instead of the AUTHORS HANGOUT (the only two forums that were possible choices). I encouraged people to put me on ignore.
As moderator you’ve said nothing, and in fact seemed quite happy to tolerate both hateful and ugly comments from your friends (I list some of them below just in case you’ve forgotten). There is a vast difference between FREE SPEECH and hate posts by the way. That’s maybe why we have a moderator in the first place.
You also allowed incredible latitude to certain of your friends letting them create “ALTS” that you simply watched as they spewed forth their filth and fanned the flames from both sides. Small people. You and your masters know who they are (it’s obvious that if Manu can figure out if someone’s voted twice on a story he can surely figure out which ‘Alt’ belongs to who) – how many are your friends? How many did you encourage? You did nothing!
You even went so far as to allow someone to use the alt “scouries_” and actually try to pose as me. I can’t imagine the outcry if someone chose “manu_” or “cloudy_” or “The Conformist_” or “DanielleKitten_” as an alt and then started posting comments that included the copyrighted work of the original author. You should have stepped in then. Quite simply you didn’t.
And not surprisingly no one protested! I’ve never complained but you should be ashamed of your performance. That was your job as MODERATOR!
And as to that rat pack of AHers who’ve continually sniped and complained to the bosses, who continually profess to being on a much higher road than the rest of us in LiteroticaLand, the heck with them. Sad people who spend hour after hour on a sex site while pretending to themselves they’re great writers. Who’ll do anything to get views and votes for their stories while holding those same viewers and voters in disdain. How funny is that?
