Ok, this may be an off the wall question for here, it's not sexual, not political, not thought provoking and not funny.

But, with the variety of people here I thought someone might know about this.

I need to buy a model of a P3 Orion. I've checked out several places, no luck. I know there are on line sites for model planes, but I'm looking for suggestions about reputable ones.

Any help is appreciated. :)

The replacement for the Lockheed P-2V Neptune, the YP-3A prototype made its first flight on November 25, 1959. The P-3A entered service in August 1962 with a total of 157 aircraft. The P-3B followed with a total of 125 aircraft. The final variant is the P-3C, with the same engines as the P-3B, but with a completely new sensor system.
The P-3C has been exported to numerous countries including Australia, Canada, Iran, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, South Korea, and Spain.

Thanks for bumping this earlier, pretty.

And thanks, koala, for the site. Unfortunately, that's mostly a radio control plane site.

What I'm looking for is an already built model for display. Should be in the neighborhood of $150.00+. I have a few F-18s along those lines.

So, if there is anyone who knows of a good place to find those, I'd appreciate any info.

My husband is an aerospace engineer and P-3C Orions were the first planes is worked with. They are a bit hard to find, so I'm discovering. Anyway, I'm looking for one as a gift for him.

Thanks, again.

That sounds like a job for E-Bay.

I don't know if looking up Lockheed-Martin's web site would help or not. I know that McDonnell-Douglas used to have presentation models of F-4 Phantoms that could be ordered direct from them advertised in their company magazine.

Not sure if they have it (a phone call might be needed), but if they do then I am pretty sure they will ship it to the US...
