We can't all feel the same. Let's acknowledge that.

But we do feel.

Sometimes inappropriate behaviour is a result of an inability to deal with emotions. And while it shouldn't be condoned, it maybe can be understood for that.

My point. Thank you.

true.

but we are not children here.

and we know when we have stepped over the line,
particularly regarding 9-11.

We are adults.

no excuse.

sorry, but that is my very strong opinion on this matter.

nite all.

nite sweetie, but my point of this thread was to try to bridge a gap....

Really, it's ok.

That day, though not spent here, was heartwreacking to me.

I still have tears.

Let's really try to be adults and understand the diveristy of ways to deal with it, and not close the doors.

Good point Siren. This is not something to be making light of in any form - in your opinion, or mine or in many other peoples. But there's always people who can't handle that rush of emotion and pain, who will deal with things in a way we find inappropriate - and while we dont' have to like them at that precise moment, as adults we should try to understand their grief is causing that reaction.

one can not bridge the gap nor keep the door open when the person doesnt want to see the opposing viewpoint as to why something is offensive.

Personally, I find lack of compassion and ridicule towards anyone that personally experienced 9-11 and lost loved ones from 9-11 to be utterly without excuse and without merit.

Truly disappointed.

And truly outraged.

and that is my bridge to be 'gapped' and my door to be 'opened'.

Now, I must truly get to bed.
early court date tomorrow.

nite all.

I personally experienced 9/11. I find no ridicule.

Let me interrupt the "warm & fuzzy" thread..

There is a lot of rage out here, not hate. You can try all you want to make a daycare atmosphere out of 9-11, but I have a defined rage at the perps of this murder! They killed OUR people, innocent people, all nationalities, just trying to make a living! Yes, let's honor the dead, I'm sure they were all heroes in some way in the last minutes of their lives. I'm still keeping my eye on the targets, why we're having this event, why we have to make sense of a senseless act to our children. The weaker souls pronounce this as "hate", trying to interject a pc feel good objective to the label. You think your way about this, I'll think mine. Just don't even try to label my reaction with your own standards!

*A tear never forgets! :rose:

Siren:
"You dont find this to be ridiculing?"

Well, I don't. But then again, I read the entire post.
