The strategy is clear. Deny the liberal, mormon, flip flopping, RomneyCare SOB the delegates he needs to win on the first ballot. An open convention produces someone besides this country club cock sucking prick.

Fuck you Mitt!:rose:

He is everything that's wrong with the ruling class of the republican party.

I would sooooooo love to see a brokered convention!

Perry-Paul, the Texas twosome!

But it's more likely to be a Gringrich/Santorum (Frothy Mix) ticket.

As a conservative, I hate his guts.

Moreover, I have no respect for someone that changes their position on abortion after forty plus years of living. No matter which side you were originally on. It's a politician, not a leader.

A leader who has to abandon a Major-Concept because he realizes he is mistaken is honorable if he admits his view was faulty and is ready to correct his conclusions. However, he must give up any further political activity as well. Since he has already fallen victim to error once in building his fundamentals, the possibility of a second lapse is always present. He has no right to ask for, let alone demand, the confidence of his fellow citizens.:rose:

They'll find someone, more conservative too.

I don't care as long it's not Mitt. He's just Obama minus the dark tan.:rose:

But is anyone more right wing than Romney electable at all?

The one, perhaps the only thing in Romney's favour, is that Gingrich and Santorum are worse.

Are you an Obama supporter?

The ignorant Alabama and Missipip Santorium voters have something in common with Cal Berkely and OWS idelogical blindless to the real world.

You idiots are only going to relect Obama

I think Santorum is electable. It won't be easy but possible.:rose:
Santorum seems honest. He takes flak for stocking to his guns and his principles, which is worthy of some respect. (Ron Paul too, but who cares?) He's got that going for him, whereas Mittens is a polished country club sleazeball and Gingrich is a boorish scam artist.

The only problem is that some of the principles he stand up for is a complete deal-breaker for a big chunk of general voters.

The only way I can see him win is if someone manage to ease the worries of centrists, and remind them that the separation of powers and cooling saucer of Congress is gonna make it impossible for him to impose his regressive social agenda on the country in any significant way. At least without a complete Republican dominance of the legislative.

I am the target demographic - a middle aged white male who left the Republican party because of Bush's spending spree, and who elected Obama in 08.

I will vote for Romney over Obama, but Obama over any other Republican.

I don't care about his flip flopping. In fact, I think a man should change his opinion as he ages and gains a different point of view on things. I'm considerably different (politically) now then I was in my 20s and 30s. I don't want some old fool who is stuck in his ideology.

The fact is, the President is the leader, but not the dictator. Most of the BS candidates say they are going to do as President, the President doesn't have the power to do (i.e. End the Fed (what a bunch of crap)). I want a President who is... presidential. Reagan was certainly no genius, but he was Presidential and I still have a lot of respect for him.

President Barack Obama vs. Governor Mitt "Obama Lite" Romney.

I fail to see a problem here!

You're deluding yourself, even the Pennsylvania voters tossed him out - Maybe you'd like to draft Jeb Bush! Possibly the only man who could lose more states than Santorum.

The basic truth is that all of the Republican candidates are bloody awful. Obama is a really bad President but if the economy continues to pick up a few notches, he'll walk it against any of the rubbish opposing him.

We sure did throw him out, by a whopping 16 points if memory serves. If Santorum is the nominee Obama will not need to campaign. I'm sure I will get flamed, but if you recall how things were three years ago, Obama has no reason to be ashamed. A doubling in the S&P is no small thing.

It is sort of sad and funny that the same time watching the far right implode the GOP.

Funny, because conservatives are trying very hard to shake off the racist label. Thanks for fucking things up for conservatives.

Yep. The GOP got nobody now or down the road.

However, the rot goes all the way to the bottom; local pols are as bad or worse than the clowns in Washington.

And aint none of it new. Reading a history of Valley Forge; it was George Washington and his men freezing and starving out at Fort Lonesome while the Patriots were warm and fed and contented over in Philadelphia with the Brits.
