Mistaken Bestiality?

I have an idea for a story that would involve ape-like beings. Sorta like the ones from Planet Of The Apes (2001). However, the ones I imagine are not the most intelligent or civilized. Their features are so close to that of a human, but they're more animalistic in nature.

The story is somewhat of a cliche, a civilized person meeting a wild ape-like creature. They begin to socialize and become more acquainted, eventually a bond forms. Later on, an attraction starts between them.

I've reviewed other stories on here about ape-men, bigfoot and they seem to be permitted. Since it is after all, non-human. I'm just a little worried and reluctant to begin writing. Could my story be flagged for bestiality? My idea is basically a cross between human and ape. To put it blatantly, google Ari from Planet Of The Apes, 2001. The character Helena Bonham Carter played her.

I don't know if it's just me, but I find the character appealing.

If they got sentience or it's some magic/sci-fi hybrid it's fair game. We got tentacle stories, unicorn stories, we have room for ape-people hybrids

Well the story is kind of sci-fi/non-human. The apes are treated as a new specie of ape, but later on we learn they're more human than they appear. I got the idea for ape/human characters and searched online for ideas.

On [site name removed] an artist by the name of neurodyne, had some good art and really turned me on.
I'll add some of the pictures I really liked and give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

At the time, it seemed a plausible mistake: It was late. He was tired. The barn was dark.

Yet in the cold light of morning, there were more questions than answers, and things rapidly went downhill for Roy, Dale and Trigger...

Not sure why this thread was moved to Story Ideas when it's a question on what Lit allows and not an idea unto itself. Moving it to Author's Hangout now.

Hullo BBB - welcome to Authors' Hangout, even though you have been moved here rather than posting here yourself :)

This is a place where you can usually get very helpful answers to this kind of question so the right place for your thread.

Your story idea sounds fine; I don't believe it will contravene the site's rather loose woolly rules on bestiality (mmmm! those sheep :p) I have personally written werewolf stories which were perhaps more dog-gy than the usual werewolf fare ;) One ardent werewolf reader on Amazon even gave my story one star and said it was 'depraved filth' :D, of course the downloads have never stopped pouring off ever since. I have had no trouble on here - or anywhere - with that story.

I think the bestiality rule is more about there being a law against publishing beastly stories in the States, than about any personal prejudice against naughty animal sex.

Good luck with your story! and come back when it's published to post a link so we can all go and enjoy it.

I think this one should be ok. If it looks very human and is sentient, it's effectively human, as things go here. Make sure the ages are all above 18 for that reason. (I got dinged once for making a succubus look like jail bait, and the point that she was 6,000 years old didn't win the argument.)

But in all cases, if you don't want to waste a lot of time on a story that gets thrown away, PM Laurel first and get the exact rules in advance.

Yes, the under-age rule is a much stricter one, with little wriggle room ;) Fantastic beasts of all kinds are allowed in the ark, as long as there is a bit of fantasy not outright farmyard realism.

I recommend you check out the story Beast & the Beauties by kingbooruwa.
You may find some inspiration there.

It's my favourite story on Literotica.

I'll push my Bride of Kong as an example of handling human-ape hybrids. That was one of my early LIT efforts; I fretted about age and beast rules. Basically, if they can talk, they're not beasts; and if they don't look like underage humans, they're OK. My humanoid hybrids were speed-grown in vitro so I waited till they were 18 before I set them a-fucking.

I'm working on a time-travel story where Randall, our mad scientist, jumps back looking for the biblical Eve... but finds Lucy instead. No, not the Lucy that fell out of a tree, but some pre-human babe around 1,000,000 BCE. Randall also has a universal translator; he and this Lucy can thus converse, so she's not a beast... except when she rapes him, mixing modern human DNA into the evolutionary chain. Funny how things work out, eh?

Eve-Lucy Part II: Randall tries again but he still doesn't have the time+space machine calibrated accurately. He lands in sasquatch territory and is raped by a lacivious talking yeti, thus introducing human DNA into *their* genepool. Is Randall a stud, or what?!
