I went out to the casino boat in St Louis once. I ordered a Coors Light. The bartender laughed at me and asked where I thought I was and to try again as he pointed at a Budweiser sign. I think that is my most amusing memory of St Louis.

STL is better now Alerdene, if you stay away from the crappy casinos and go to the right bars/restaurants you can get just about any beer you like these days. I don't know where you were or when it was but these days AB doesn't have near the monopoly they used to.
Although, I still don't know why anyone drinks Coors Light. I drink double bocks, stouts, and ales myself.

Well it was better then Bud Light and that seemed to be about all they had.

I prefer Pale Ale myself if going to have a beer. Although it depends on my mood I guess. So scratch that. I get something different every time usually. LOL

And no, STL is not a bad town at all. I have some distant family scattered around the edges and I occasionally (very rarely) visit them. Haven't been out on the town there in quite some time though.

If you get back to STL anytime soon, or somewhere that has Schlafly beer, Schlafly has a pale ale called No15 Ale out that's pretty good. I usually only drink the dark ales but I like this one. Try it if you haven't already. It was brewed for their 15th anniversary so it probably won't be around that long. Although, if it sells well enough they might keep it in production.
