Misson for Mother

[Mad_Dragia]

In a clap of thunder and a flash of lightning she fell from the heavens and landed in a heap her gear dropping onto the ground next to her.
"Thanks for the soft landing Mother!" Dresmina growled softly to herself as she gathered her pack and weapons. She set off East, Mothers words ringing in her head.

"Mina, my child. Go East and seek out the man who needs you."

"Who is he Mother?"

"You will know him when you see him. Along the way you will find creatures that will join you on your quest. Befriend them, you will need their help for the challenges that you must face.

"Mina, beware of the Blood Elf with yellow eyes. You will know him by the scars upon his face. He will thwart you. Do not let him."

Mina shook her head, thinking how Mother was always so vague in her instructions. Taking a deep breath she found the East Road, pulled her cloak over her covering her completely, hiding sword and face and set her pace at a comfortable run.

from up in her tree perch she watched the figure strode towards the woods. she smiled quitely knowing that this was the person that her mother had told her to be on the look out for. she touched the tip of the tree and watched as it started turning to ice, the ice traveled forward accompanied by icy winds and a terrible wind chill. She giggled knowing that her illusion wouldnt hurt the forest at all but just get the strangers attention. She let a fog cover her to prevent her from being seen and she watched......

Mina shivered as the fog rolled in and drew her cloak closer around her. She sent out her senses trying to feel the energy of another but hit a wall of coldness instead and shivering again reached within and drew upon her inner fire to warm her as she continued her journey East.....

she thickened the ice and watched build up into a incredably thick ice wall and almost fell out of her tree and blow her cover by laughing when the stranger ran right into the diamond strong wall that blocked her from going east any farther. Luckily she help it together and thickened the fog more.

Mina didnt see the wall through the fog and slammed right into it and bounced off hitting the ground on her rump with a grunt.

"What the-?" she exclaimed shaking herself. Getting up to a kneeling position she reached out and felt the wall of ice. "Now where in the world did this..."She trailed off as she sniffed the air....
"Who's out there?! Show your self!"

she jumped out of the tree and landed on the opposite side of the ice wall she broke it with ease leaving not even diamond dust on the ground.....

Hello Dresmina, i have been expecting you, my Mother told me you would be heading this way. My name is Isis, Queen of the Ice Elves in Morrowwind.

She smiled warmly and the cold faded to just a simple breeze.

Mina raised an eyebrow looking as Isis. "And you couldn't just walk up and say hello?" she asked rubbing her sore rump. "I suppose I must have looked rather amusing bouncing off your little ice wall eh?" she snorted. "Oh, and call me Mina."

Isis giggled and looked at Mina sweetly. "My apologies" suddenly a cool wind swept through and Isis floated in the air and a cool blast came from her hand and shot at Mina enveloping her and healing the brusies and soreness she was experienceing.

after she finished healing she picked up her own cloak and ice staff and sack and got ready to leave. "feel better?"

"MMM much. Thank you." she replied and turned back to the East. "Since your Mother sent you perhaps then you know I must travel East. Keep up with me if you can." Mina set out at her pace again with out looking back at the blue elf.

Isis watched the other woman start walking and laughed to herself, 'keep up if you can' she must not be familiar with elves. She lept up in the trees and gracefully jumped from each one and shortly passed Mina and kept going keeping fog hiding her from view. Soon she dropped back to the ground and leaned against a tree and waited for Mina to catch up. Soon Mina appeared with a bit of a smug smile on her face thinking that she had gone to fast and lost the elf but her face dropped when she saw the elf standing ahead of her leaned up against a tree.

"Maybe im not the one you should worry about keeping up with you?" Isis said simply and walked towards Mina. Isis's face was serious and unamused.

Looking at Isis through narrowed eyes takes a deep breath and upon exhalation a lavender Myst forms around her and she slowly is absorbed into it. The Myst blows away to reveal the spot that Mina was in to be empty. A slow rumble is heard a mile or so away from a cliff.

"Now we will move East at a faster pace! Do you wish to fly or continue your own way?" Mina's voice was soft on the afternoon breeze.

Isis simply smiles at Mina and then is enveloped by a glittering storm of diamond dust and ice and when it smashes to pieces she is standing she is leaning up against the tree as a breath taking ice angel.
