Main female character is not in great shape - she looks ragged, older than she is, she comments on having a bad tooth or teeth, but she can only go to the dentist on certain days because she has no money. She’s walking down the street when a car hits a puddle and soaks her.
We find out that she cheated on her husband, and she’s been burned.
Later we find out that the car that splashed her was driven by her ex, but he doesn’t recognize her. He didn’t even notice her. As I remember he also has his baby in a car seat in the back seat.
I thought it might be a Stangstar06 story, but can’t find it. Maybe I just missed it. I am pretty sure it’s one of the big authors, but can’t really remember.
