My memory is really going these days -
The main character has an idea for a new invention that involves phones. His brother is willing to invest in it. His brother also works for a guy in the mob, who also invests some money. The main character's wife (or fiance - I can't remember which) is cheating on him. Main guy is avoiding her. In the mean time, the mob guy is keeping an eye on a young lady who works for him. She is struggling with school. Mob guy asks the main guy to help her with her studies. At the same time, mob guy is going to help the main guy get revenge. One of the cute parts is that mob guy has the main guy call him a couple of times on the land line with cryptic messages for the FBI to hear, so that they will unknowingly be part of the revenge as well. Mob guy then sends main guy on a vacation. The young lady ends up with him, with a dvd and a series of envelopes. He is supposed to watch bits of video while he opens the envelopes in order. It is a video of the revenge. The last part is that the mob guy knows that the main guy and the young lady have fallen in love and they basically have his blessing (which means they can't refuse).
