the Clash was the greatest band of my generation, and the offshoot bands (B>A>D> and The Mighty Mescalero's) weren't so bad either! A toast to mighty Joe Strummer, wherever he may be spending eternity...I bet the house band is awesome!

I just picked up a re-issue of London Calling. I have worn out a few vinyl copies and at least one CD. Classic!. Pure Classic.

Is that recorded anywhere? I only had the chance to see them during the Rock the Casbah tour in Providence RI...great show, but not the same as the earlier years...

I know Wolfgangs Vault has one or two live recordings..anyone know of a source for bootleg/unreleased live recordings?

Hey, hey! :)

We are big fans of The Clash over here! Even our little boys like them (they are 3 and 5 -- we are raising them right!)

Here's a little Clash tribute for ya! ;) I think Joe Strummer would enjoy it -- what do you think? ;)

Clash1
Clash2
Clash3
Clash4

Awesome! Thanks SexyDreams...good to hear your kids are being raised with good musical sense!! :nana:

alright..I'm peeved..last night I recognized the Clash's version of "Pressure Drop" in a Nissan commercial..whose bright idea was that!?!

Fantastic pics, I really like no 4 its so cheeky :)

I have been fortunate enough to not only see the Clash live a few times, but Topper only lives a couple of miles away, and is a great story teller and has signed most of my Clash vinyl.
I would suggest as an intro trying listening to the Give Em Enough Rope album.
