Interesting story. Probably everyone in the world thought they were in the lake except the family, who said they didn't believe they were. They're not. Now the FBI says they think the girls are alive but aren't saying why. Plus they say not everyone is being cooperative but aren't saying who.

People live in Iowa?

They should get that Radar O'Reilly guy on the case.

But seriously, I hope they do find them soon, and why was the family so sure they weren't in the lake?

I dunno, Radar was kind of an asshole. They kept trying to portray him as this kid but he was really a jerk most of the time.

No idea why the family was sure they weren't in the lake but I think it was the mom who was swearing up and down that they weren't. Could have been just wishful thinking that turned out to be true but it didn't sound like it. I don't think the parents are suspects though from what I've read the last few days.

I don't think I ever met someone with an opinion on the assholiness of Radar O'Reilly. Funny stuff.
When I saw the aunt interviewed, she was positive they weren't in the lake.
Being that the finger is always pointed at the parents in most cases like this, the cops had to look in the lake first.
The old "Okay rabbit, where's Rocky, where's he hiding"
"He's not in this stove" routine.

The whole thing about being so sure they weren't in there is just weird. Obviously somebody knows something and either the cops didn't take it seriously at first or they're just keeping it really close right now.

I've long though Radar was an asshole. He's a teenager so that's already a few points on the asshole scale but he also refuses to grow up and accept what life has given him. Once he does finally grow up he becomes more and more aggressive and ultimately very unlikable. A similar fate was waiting for Klinger once he got rid of the dresses. The difference however was the Klinger was always a genuinely nice guy who was mostly just having fun. Radar thought the whole army should bow to him just because he helped run a MASH unit.

After Larry Linville left, the show went downhill for me.

I agree and disagree both. Frank Burns was a fun character who could have been very interesting but they chose to go the buffoon route with him and eventually that just got old. Winchester was a good replacement because he was smart and a good foil for Hawkeye and BJ. However he lacked that bit of insanity that made Burns so much fun and really, it was hard to care a lot about him because he was so snobby.

Speaking of snobby, when is the opening ceremonies over there.
They say 08:00, but is that their time or our time?
I only ask because of the thread when China had theirs was hilarious, and being that there's so many more Brits on here, it could get good.

Also, he had very few fingers.

I assume that's our time because we're the only ones that matter.

This went over my head but I don't think it should have. Perhaps I'm just not remembering something I should know or I'm missing something in what I said. You can clue me in or you can choose not to and make me look stupid. I think you know what the wise course of action would be.

He was missing most of the fingers on whichever hand he was always carrying his clipboard with (which is why he was always carrying a clipboard).

Even when he had to do that game show he put his good hand over the fucked up one.
I forget the name of it, it was tyhe one where they wore those silly looking headphones and had to write the answer down. Not match game, another one.

Truth or Consequences?
I know the one you're talking about.

I used to work with a guy who lost a few off one hand, he never even noticed it until he went to say goodbye to the foreman.

Yes, there are a few of us living in Iowa.

The parents were sure the girls were not in the lake because they hired Col Mustard to wack them in the conservatory with a lead pipe.

Radar was a loveable character, the actor who portrayed him was a fucking jerk. Frank Burns, exact opposite situation.
