Synopsis: Boy meets girl while scavenging in the aftermath of a society-ending plague. Boy cooks girl dinner at a local restaurant, then takes her home for security and a Left4Dead-inspired videogame. That night they share a bed, and a shower the next morning. Over the next few days/series entries, the two scavenge, fall in love, marry, and then road-trip in search of more people. They eventually do find a community, at which point the story switched POV to a roving gang of vicious ne'er-do-wells, presumably to set up as an antagonistic element to our happy couple.
My Predicament: I was following this series quite fondly a few years ago, but lost track as updates slowed. To my frustration and embarrassment, I can now no longer remember the author, title, tagline, or character names. To further complicate searching, I distinctly recall the inclusion of the zombie videogame, though the story itself was not a zombie apocalypse scenario. I've spot-checked thousands of search results over the last few days, but no joy.
