On the way home from my folks this evening, we stopped off at a Little Chef for something to eat.

I was intrigued and amused by a poster on the wall advertising the sausages they use in ther sausage and mash, or mixed grill........

"British outdoor reared sausages."

The images conjured up by that had me grinning inside most of the way home.

:D :D :D

I've only just woken up. Will someone explain, please?

OK........it says 'british outdoor reared sausages'.

They mean that the pork that goes into the sausages is 'outdoor reared', i.e. free range, rather than factory farmed.........but that's not what they say.

I just had images of sausages gambolling in the fields, playing, happy in their surroundings until it was time for them to just hop into the frying pan.

Got it now?

Just lazy wording by the advertisers.
