I dunno I have been a member of Lit for I guess a while...but I still never feel like I "belong" .....*shrug* Anyone else feel this way? or am I just over reacting? ....Does anyone ever read what I post? ....lalala....

You didn't submit your application in triplicate. :D

I've noticed you, but havn't have time to really devote to getting to know new people.

Bad starfish

I read whatever catches my eye. As far as being ignored. I couldn't care less. I get ignored in regular society, so this is a piece of cake.:D

16 days at 4 posts a day isn't really while quite yet.

Relax jump into what ever makes you feel good and makes you laugh, stay away from waht don't.

Oh and don't forget to post naked pictures, they don't have to be of you, we just like naked picturs.

I do.

You're not alone, even some of us old timers get the feeling we're talking to ourselves every once in a while. With an average of 80-100 active threads in any 24 hour period, it's difficult to read everything or make yourself stand out from the crowd.

Don't let a lack of response to most of your posts keep you from expressing yourself. Even if your posts aren't replied to everytime, that doesn't mean they don't get read. I read a lot of posts and think, OK, someone has made my point so I don't need to post anything.

I'm too new to have feelings of rejection yet - ask me in a few months and maybe my answer will be different.

I liken it to showing up at a gathering of people you don't know, it takes time to get the courage to join in on the conversation and if people don't reply its not neccessarily because they don't like you or find you interesting; its because they are already caught up with people that they have had the time to get to know better. In this situation all you can do is keep on talking - that way people will get a sense of your personality.

Its the same in Lit, keep on posting and eventually people will get to know you.

Hi Silverluna

You are not alone on this one.I come here alot but my posts do not show that considering how long I have been coming here. I read alot and post when I feel like I have something to offer.
Some of the members tend to be looking for a reason to jump all over you but do not take any of it very seriously.
All in all it is a great group and an awful lot of fun.

Yes, luna, it is frustrating trying to break in here. At 6-8 weeks I was thinking about taking my marbles and going home. At 4 months (now) I feel like one of the gang. I'm glad that I stayed around.

There have been a lot (a LOT!!) of new people who have come to Lit all together, starting some time in December. For me, there are so many new voices right now that it's hard to distinguish one from another. Time and persistance will help.:)

I know you are here :)

i wont be online much....i am literally having a nervous breakdown.....just too many punches to my gut have me reeling and on the verge of total mental collapse....

Luna, I haven't seen the "punches to your gut" to which you speak, however, if something you read here has led you to be "on the verge of total mental collapse," I highly suggest that you take a break and reevaluate how you spend your time.

Silverluna..........if you are on the verge of a mental collapse then......

:p

getting noticed on an erotic BB is really the least of your worries.

I hope you are not having a breakdown.,....
and I hope you are not being overly dramatic for attention...
either option is not a good one.

Do as Rubies suggested.

On and Thumbs..
who could ignore you and your marvie av?

Why what ever do you mean AzWAD?

SilverLuna,

We all feel un-noticed at times. But I have noticed you, and so have others.
This is such a great community to belong to, but it is not good for you to spend all your time here and no time doing other things that interest you. Read a book and then come and tell us about it. Does not matter what kind of book it is, I bet some of us have read it too, or would find it interesting.

When I was recovering after surgery, I liked to about drive myself into the nuthouse spending all my time on the internet in chat rooms and such. Well hell, I could not do anyting else for 3 weeks. I was not even supposed to be out of bed. :(
My ONLY contact with other people, other than occasional visits from friends when they could snatch a few minutes of time away from their families was the net. And my mental state paid for that dearly.

Be kind to yourself and make sure you do other things beside sit here and stare at your screen. ( But don't go away too long, we'll miss you )

((((( hugs )))))
