I'm still new to the site and have been dabbling with posting some of the stuff I'm not to worried about getting torn up over. I posted the following story to Loving Wives, I have read the other thread regarding that category and had two questions.

Story : http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=213668 - One of those days in the office.

Questions.

a) Is this miscategorized? I got an anon comment suggesting it needed to be moved to BDSM which is fair feedback if I misunderstood the category.

b) How the hell do you move a story to a different category?

Thanks,

MuseShadow.

If you put it in BDSM, wouldn't surprise me a bit if someone would then say it should go in Loving Wives. Often you have a story that crosses categories and no matter where you put it someone will think it belongs somewhere else.

Thanks,

MuseShadow.

To move a story, you repost it with an "E" preceding the title. This will tell the site it's an edited story that has already been posted. In the "category," you list the new category. In the "Comments" section, tell the site it is a change in category. It will take a couple of weeks to be reposted in the new cat.

Like Penny says, many stories can be posted to more than one category so you have to choose what you think is best. For instance: You write a story about a woman, who is the offspring of two persons of one race, and two sisters who are of a different race, and they have a lesbian threesome and use dildos on each other's asses. It could be lesbian, group, interracial, incest, toys or anal. You would have to choose which.

Picking Your Category

I write the majority of my stories for the BDSM category, and I took a look at yours to see how I thought it might fit there.

I have to say that I do not see any much in "One of Those Days in the Office" that would make this a good fit for the BDSM category. I don't see much emotional engagement in the wife's acquiescence that would help to develop the theme of conscious, willing obedience and submisison on her part; or anything significant on the husband's part that lends itself to the dominant/controlling themes. This is more of a "rough sex" story than it is BDSM, in my opinion.

I think part of the reason I feel that way is because there's not really any character development or emotional content in this short vignette. Her husband comes home angry, seizes his waiting wife and fucks her rough and hard in her cunt and ass. That's about it. If there was some more preparatory build-up or erotic tension that came through, I might feel differently about it.

Dominantion and submission is far more a mental and an emotionally-charged bond between two people than it is about sex - be it gentle or, as is done here, rough sex. The reader doesn't get much of that aspect here.

I'm not sure if this is a Loving Wives story or an Erotic Encounters, or something else. All I can say is that it doesn't "speak to" the underlying BDSM themes and ideas and ideals, for me.
